Classes have top notch instructors who are not only brilliant in their craft but accepting and encouraging to their students. I have taken many classes and have seen many shows and I highly recommend Oakville Improv. They put the Fun in Funny!

I've taken classes and performed with Oakville Improv for a number of years. Not only have I learned a lot, laughed a lot, and made some amazing friends, the lessons I've learned from improv have carried over into other areas of my life. The instructors are supportive, talented, and professional. I have been taking classes and workshops as well as performing with Oakville Improv for the last three years. I had not touched a stage for 20-something years before joining. I will say it has been transformational for me. Any and all improv you can be a part of will help you in more ways than you can imagine. From thinking on your feet to problem solving to basic listening skills, all of these are heightened and strengthened through improv.Oakville Improv offers a safe and fun way to learn the basics as well as a path to do more, if you choose to pursue it. I highly recommend trying a workshop or even just a Monday drop-in, you won't regret it!

I cannot speak highly enough of Amy and Oakville Improv. I signed up for the Intro classes as a way to get out of my comfort zone, and it was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. From minute one, Amy creates a safe, encouraging and energetic environment. Before you know it, you are laughing, making friends and having fun working as a team through thoughtful exercises. Amy uses her expertise to guide you through various activities that have lessons beyond the improv classroom. If you’re on the fence about signing up, know that you won’t regret it. You’ll be in good hands. My only regret is waiting so long to sign up!

Improv comedy performances by new and very established performers, drop-in classes every Monday 7-8 for $5, free improv performance right after 8-9pm, great improv programs, advanced workshops, great venues at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, and Moonshine Cafe. Collaboration with Improv community all over GTA, and development of some of the best talent I've seen locally. Location is very easy to get to, no traffic, a lot of parking. Great variety of superb Improv theatre teachers with many different styles and different expertise. What an amazing company. I took a beginner class a year and a half ago, and here I am, still taking classes, performing on stage. The wonderful thing about OITP is that it builds community but also gives its improvisers endless opportunity to practice performing. If they want to. It's a gift to the community.

I had an amazing experience at Oakville Improv. I signed up for their beginner course and i was completely blown away.Amy, the instructor has a lot of experience in both improv-ing and teaching. She eases us into the different concepts and techniques, going slow at times when the class needs it to to learn new skills. She also provides personal feedback that enable us to improve every week. I was able to to use things that I learn at this class to my work and daily life as well. Improv is not just for comedy.And needless to say, it was extremely fun. This is something that I look forward to all week. there are times when i come to the class tired after a day of work, and by the end of it, i'm all energized again.Thank you Amy for the amazing experience, and I'll sign up for more future courses from Oakville Improv.

Really excellent shows, I spend most of the time crying with laughter. Audience participation was done very well, making for an experience within which you can get involved creating some fantastic comedy. It's clear that this company does wonders for the local community aswell.
