Concrete Plus Construction

$10000 deposit for material paid. Aggregate was delivered, work was started for a day, damage was done to property, waterline exposed, then he disappeared. Showed up month's later wanting to complete job, then said he would refund us $7000. Last we have heard from him was spring 2022.

I paid Steve Ball and Concrete Plus Construction a $9000 deposit for excavation, forming and pouring of a concrete pad for my garage. After months of delays and excuses and no work even started on my project I terminated the contract. Mr. Ball has yet to pay me back my deposit and will not return my calls, texts and emails. I would not recommend anyone do business with this man or his company.Update May 2023Steve called me in February and wanted to refund me $7000 of the $9085 he owes me. Reluctantly I agreed to try and get some of my money back. He promised me that he would refund me $7000 by April 15, 2023. Surprise surprise….he stopped communicating and never refunded me the money. Scammer, Fraud, Thief. Even if I don’t get my money back, I don’t want others to get scammed by him.

Beyond happy with the garage they poured. Very proffesional .

I know Steve personally, and know him to be a responsible, personable person. He has answered my calls and has communicated with me with in a day of messaging him.

On August 28th we entered into an agreement with Steve Ball and Concrete Plus Construction to remove, repair and replace a small retaining wall, concrete steps, walkway and porch at the front door as well as removing a retaining wall and levelling the ground at the side, fully expecting the work to begin and finish in a reasonable amount of time.I have to say that dealing with this company from that point on was a real nightmare.They would show up sporadically for a few hours here and there eventually spreading the work they did do over a period of almost 3 months, even pouring concrete in snow squalls on November 19th!Communication with this company was almost non existent. They never answered their phone, their answering machine messaging system was always full and they took their time replying to email, if they replied at all. We understood that the job was on a cost of material plus labour basis but they would not supply a proper invoice showing the materials purchased or even the number of hours for labour to properly account for the $10,500 we gave them and the job still only half finished.We parted ways shortly after this with the job still incomplete and consider this an expensive lesson well learned.

Steve was great. Showed up on time and ready to work until my pad for my shop was poured. Would have him come back again.

I am extremely happy with my first experience with Concrete Plus Construction, I truly appreciated their punctuality, comunication and quality of their work. Steve and Colin worked through some terrible weather and were able to complete my job on schedule. I am looking forward to having them complete the next phase of my build. I would definetly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free construction project.

I highly recommend avoiding this concrete plus Construction & owner Steve Ball at all costs. Steve is unethical, unprofessional, and scamming customers by taking their deposit and failing to deliver on their promises. Not only did they cause significant delays, but he also refused to return the deposit even after repeated requests. cannot be trusted and should be avoided at all costs. He won’t answer phone, msg, email once he received deposit. He will give all kinds of excuses & never compete project & wont give your back deposit. Pls avoid unless if you want do lose your deposit like me.

Steve is a SCAMMER. He will take your deposit and not complete the job. If you have been victimized by this scam artist please contact OPP and file a complaint.
