I was having a vacation at Edmonton and chanced upon this home cooked style Colombian food. Totally hooked! Had empanadas everyday before leaving Edmonton. Definitely going to miss the food! Big thanks to Esteban, Paulina and Edison for the warmest welcome!

Great service and tasty food. The space is nice and the desserts are amazing. Went there with my wife and baby today. There were able to accommodate my wife's vegan diet.

The food is fab. The empanadas omg..they sometimes have cheese but frequently run out. The music is good, as are desserts and the wide variety of menu items, a couple vegan or vegetarian options. A welcome addition to food off 124st!

Came in 6pm on a Wednesday evening for a party of 3. Wasn’t too busy and the restaurant has a few tables and some bar stools against the windows. Had intentions to order a few things to share and to try out the arepas and the arepa burger. When we were about to order we were told that they were no longer serving the arepas. I do have to mention that it was a little hard to communicate, as the woman taking our order is not native to Canada, so asking questions and having to clarify things was difficult. No idea if there is a cut off time or if arepas are just a morning dish or if they were sold out just that they were no longer serving them. They were however serving the empanadas and the salchipapa. So we ended up ordering two salchipapas, and chicken and potato, beef and potato, and beef and rice empanadas. We were thinking because we pointed at what we wanted we would get what was listed on their menu. What ended up happening was they just gave us individual empanadas rather than the 2 which is fine but i had to double check if we were charged accordingly and we were.Next up were the salchipapa. While the picture and description looked good i think they need to do a better job in their description. The description reads “gluten free fries, all beef sausage, cheese, peppers, in house garlic sauce”- what i would suggest is to be upfront as it is fries with cut up hot dogs, cheese, peppers, garlic sauce and ketchup. I honestly thought all beef sausage was going to be some sort of chorizo of sorts and you should have been more clear about ketchup. Price per portion for the salchipapa is just not worth it. The in house garlic sauce is good on its own and if they used actual sausage i think it could command that price. The empanadas were ok. I preferred the chicken and potato over the beef empanadas as the chicken one had more flavour and spices and not dry, while the beef empanadas I felt were a little bland and dry (looking at the pictures i took it looks like the beef empanadas were probably overcooked judging by the colour difference between the beef and chicken baskets). Our order also had a bit of a long wait, despite us not ordering a ton of food and the place not having many customers. We ended up being the last people there. I had high hopes for this place as I heard good things about the food truck. At this time, I would say it warrants possibly another visit and hopefully they take the suggestions.

Delicious, quality food. We heard the empanadas were “the best in town” and were not disappointed. They are crispy but not at all greasy, and filled with a generous amount of juicy chicken with either rice or potato. The homemade salsa and creamy garlic sauces were perfect with them. If they ever decide to sell the sauces, I’d definitely buy them. We also tried the arepa burger which was on special. Wow! They grind their meat in house and can you ever taste the difference. Nice to have an arepa instead of a bun for a low-carb alternative. Even the fries were perfect. We were treated like honoured guests, even though this is definitely a budget-friendly establishment. Great atmosphere with Colombian music. Very clean and charming. We ended up buying some frozen arepas for home which came with complementary sauces. This would be a cool place for a casual date - tucked in historic Westmount with a cool ice cream place right next door! Such a cool neighborhood. We are definitely coming back to try other items on the menu.
