Dr. Galina Smushkin

Dr. Smushkin has been fabulous. Under her guidance, I have been able to manage my illness so much better and my health will improve because of it. I have recommended that several people change their endocrinologist to Dr. Smushkin because she is knowledgeable, on the balll and doesn't talk down to you like some specialists tend to do. She has treated me like an intelligent human being who is co managing my care with her, which is something that is very important when dealing with doctors. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

amazing experience regardless of my diagnosis! she was kind and very informative. i have experienced intense stomach pain for 6.5years that have led me to the er almost everytime. i was recommended to see her due to a blood test result and she felt my throat and sent me for a ultra sound because she felt something which led to the ultra sound showing a nodule and i had a biopsy which showed i had thyroid cancer. she truly saved my life and iam beyond impressed with her professionalism and her knowledge.

This DR. will address you VERY rudely if you question her out of her comfort zone or challenge her during conversation. She belittled me and raised her voice out of my comfort zone. I am near 70 she could have shown me simple respect during my last visit. I will move on to a new endo.

She is a terrible DR. The woman that is her staff is also terrible. They are both pleasant but are not helpful. They do not return your call nor do they answer the phone when you call. Smushkin is a busy mother herself thus the poor care she gives as a Dr. I hope to go to a new Endo. After 65 years of going to Dr.s having had maybe 20 different Dr.s in 2 different provinces and living in 5 different cities she is second from the bottom.

Dr Smushkin has been the best !!After trying for years to get my diabetes under control I was recommended to Dr SmushkinAfter my first visit she switched my meds and insulin . Within a week I felt better , no more metformin stomach rages , and woke up with much lower sugarsI was waking up with 13 -20 every morningWithin a few days was down to 6.5 - 7.8 and slept like a babyShe asked in detail about my medicines , asked if I took the one in the morning and I said at night . It was a diaristic so I was getting up many times to empty bladderTaking in morning now and sleep through the night .I have never had anything but compassion and professional service at her officeVery happy to have been recommended and accepted .One thing we must all remember ! Dr Smushkin’s degree took many more years than your google search for your problems . I would take her advice before trusting google !!
