I had used Alex as my notary when I was purchasing a house. Some problems happened which was in no fault of Alex. We had to redo all the documents on a very short notice. I am pleased Alex worked with me through all the complications and tried to make the process as smooth as possible. I would definitely recommend him.

Great service! Alex was very clear, concise, efficient and went over all the documents with us as first time home buyers we were clueless. He was also very patient and made sure we understood all the legal jargon. Also, before following through, he gave us a list of all the cost that went into it first - so the price was very clear without pressure to commit. He was also very receptive of all our questions even after we finished our transaction.

A very disappointing experience using Compass Notary. We had a bit of an unusual situation taking over the tenants with the property which was owned by their parents. Our real estate agent worked hard for us to get a full months rent even though we were taking possession one week into the month. We had agreed with the sellers to do the closing date 5 days in and then they wanted 2 more days due to the holiday season which agreed to and amended the purchase contract. Alex had the signed tenancy agreement documents showing there would be a full months rent regardless of the closing date (there were other factors to this situation that we agreed to but I won't get into it here as Alex knows). Alex decided to take it upon himself and recalculate that the tenants would pay for three weeks rent instead of four. I had to contact Compass Notary and then there was a lot of back and forth" between myself
