Went here for lunch.The interior is pretty nice. I like the industrial aesthetic.The waitress serve really friendly and frequently.I don’t eat a lot Mexican food, but I do love their tacos.I tried the cod and the grilled pork.I don’t know what’s happening or if this is normal since it’s my first visit. Their portion of cod is crazy. I can’t even hold the taco because the cod is too many! The taste are amazing and I’ll definitely come back for it!The pork has a really strong smoke taste which is exactly what I’m looking for!Overall, this is a restaurant that I’ll want to come back!

We made our way here after we couldn’t find a table at a certain Vietnamese/French restaurant. We found this on google map and boy are we glad. The service was warm and welcoming. We ordered a second round of one particular taco and the lady knew to take out some of the ingredients even when we forgot to tell her. Now that is great service. Will definitely come back again. Food was great.

Impatient and forgetful servers. Basically, we spent most of the time waiting to get any kind of service. We were served the wrong drinks as well. Not a pleasant experience.BUT the food is good! Highly recommend the cod fish taco and the desserts (cookie and the churros).So don’t come for the service, obviously, just come hang out and enjoy the delicious food!

Nice little surprise during my stay in Vancouver! Fish tacos were divine. Crispy batter and moist flavourful cod. Carnita taco was tasty.

It was a good food, but asked the server if the ceviche was spicy (as I didn't want it spicy) and she mentioned only about jalapenos on it that I asked to remove nothing else other than that. But there was a green paste at the bottom of the ceviche (which I never saw in a regular ceviche but I understand they do some kind of a fusion) and that was spicy, manageable but just something I didn't expect...it wasn't mild. But it was good, nachos were good too tasting fresh.

The service was great, atmosphere on the patio was good, the prices are fair. I was really impressed by the lemon grass chicken burrito, the chicken was juicy, the portion was big and the the rice inside the burrito was shaped deep fried which added a great texture and flavour. The fish tacos are also very delicious. Guacamole and fresh chips with salsa 3 hot sauces was really fresh. The one critique would be the Caesar isn’t traditional and it was quite watery, the waitress took it back and removed it from the order which was great. Must try.

I was visiting some friends across the street and wanted to get the tuna ceviche for pick up but it wasn't allowed since it was raw. It didn't make a whole lot of sense since sashimi is also raw but available for pick up. What might be different about Tacofino's tuna ceviche?I ordered 2 fish tacos instead. The fish tacos came carelessly assembled, but they were definitely very tasty!Was a little disappointed with this experience overall since Tacofino is considered a Vancouver staple. Hoping they will take more care next time and reconsider the ceviche for take out

Just came back from Tofino but og location wasn’t open due to the snow storm so we regretted not getting during the day we arrived. Tried the location at ocho when we got back home and it wasn’t bad. We liked the steak, fish,lemon grass and crispy chicken tacos. Didn’t like the lamb quesadilla as we found it gamey or the pork al pastor which was really meaty and lots of beans. Ordered take out but probably better eaten on site. Would come back or try other locations.

Service was friendly. Food is overpriced and not authentic. Taco shell was hard and chewy. Cerviche had hardly any tuna and watered down and contained jalapeno peppers. Server gave us a plate with an obvious large chip on the edge of it. That plate should have been thrown out. Told waiter we need another plate.Noisy atmosphere. Not returning.
