Urban Village Academy

I chose Urban Villages because of the smaller class sizes, where the teachers creat an inclusive more one on on environment with their students. They are able to help each student build life long skills through play, exploration and traditional academics. With the guidance my son has received from the UVA he’s become more outgoing, and tries new things he may not have tried before.

Our Son loves to learn. Our concern with him starting JK was him getting lost in a class with a large teacher to student ratio.Urban Village Academy has exceeded our expectations with small class sizes, an IEP to meet his learning needs and one-on-one instruction to hone and advance his abilities.Communication with the school is excellent, extra-curricular/field trips are offered and his teacher is enthusiastic and engaging.If you are looking for an intimate and unique learning experience, look into UVA!

We love UVA!! We really value the small class sizes and the one on one attention and feedback our daughter gets from her amazing teacher. The classrooms are beautiful, outdoor play areas are big and green, and the atmosphere is positive and engaging, perfect for our energetic and creative child. We recommend UVA to any family that is looking for an enhanced educational experience for their kids. Our daughter is loving JK!!!

My son enjoys going to school, has made friends and no complaints about the teachers. He has tried new foods and loves the extra curricular activities. I am extremely happy to see him learning and having fun at the same time. I have NOT heard him say “school is so long” like he would say all the time at his previous school. This school is a true gem! We are fortunate to have found a school that provides authentic opportunities for learning. My daughter has been attending Bulldog since she was 18 months old (she's now 6 and in SK). It's become, very much, a regular part of her day to go there each morning. When Bulldog stepped into the private education setting and introduced UVA, I couldn't have been more thrilled to send her there. The education and learning experiences she's had the opportunity to have in this setting are well beyond what you'd expect when sending your child to a private school. Small class sizes are amazing, but having teachers/educators truly know your child, care about your child and want your child to succeed is something I don't know you'd receive in the overworked/over-capacity public system. I can say with certainty, that sending my daughter here has been the best decision I've made for her. She's made friends, comes home with lots of great stories, and their enrichment days (trips/experiences outside of the classroom etc) have been wonderful. They also do after-school extra curricular activities, ex. the coding class they offered - my daughter absolutely loved this. They also plan to do sports and music and everything under the sun really. Hot Lunches are included (that's an added bonus for the working mom or dad) as are uniforms and much more. If you've sat back and raised the question to yourself about whether or not this is something you should do for you child, I highly recommend you get a tour and see for yourself. You won't regret it. In fact, you may actually regret not sending your child here sooner.
