This review is long overdue---I attended Nuit Blanche 2022. I believe that it was Carswell first entry into this annual event. Every one of the organizers involved put their heart and soul into this evening. I found it to be very interesting and interactive, thank you!

Carswell Observatory is now home to a 1-metre diameter reflecting telescope, the largest astronomical telescope on a university campus anywhere in Canada.

It was an awesome experience visiting the observatory with the family to see the sky with 1m long diameter telescope. Join their “Free Public Viewing of the night sky” on Wednesday evenings. You can join the events on “eventbrite”

Love everything about this observatory. Love the tours, love that students give the tours, love the old telescope, love the new telescope. Love all the information and handouts. Love the detailed explanations, love that I can log onto their website and observe. Love when they host special stargazing events. Love they moved some of their old equipment to the roof of the garage for stargazers. If you are interested in stargazing call them. You don't have to be a student to look up.

Regardless of mobility issues, we're looking forward for this event, unfortunately, it was cancelled upon arriving there last Wednesday. How do we know if being cancelled? Are you sending notice via e mail? I believe, you have an idea WHEN to cancel the event. I hope you are able to send me an e mail WHEN to attend this event. Thanks.

So the telescope is very small in lens. Been visiting every Wednesday. They always show other planets. Jupiter, Saturn'. But it didn't come close to see the rings. You can see a little light. Moon and Mars never seen them. They say that at the end of August will have a bigger one. Also the time differ. Is open only between 9:30 to 11:30. And is on the top of the parking building not in the observatory house.

Very cool. The viewing wasn't in the actually observatory but rather on top of the parking garage. Saw the moon, Saturn and it's moons, Venus and a satellite !
