Very slow work in processing requests. I hope to pay more attention to those with psychological problems and pay more attention to my file. For more than a year I submitted it and I never received any response.

More than three years waiting for a dream house, but they destroy the dream. They give homes to those who have an annual income of more than 100 thousand dollars. They have distinction. We are tired of waiting. We live in a small house like a prison. We will soon lose our temper. 1 star but I have to give because a comment will not be published without a star.

The wait list for the housing registry is horrendously long and I wish more property owners with subsidized units would collaborate with BC housing, but despite all the limitations, the employees here try to make the housing hunt as painless as possible. Thank you. You're doing an amazing job and changing people's lives.

They need more federal funding with the sky rockitning rent hikes.They want to keep clients housed safe and affordable for all.

Nothing is free in this world. You submit an application, but it doesn't mean there is a unit for you anytime soon. There is nothing available, why bother applying? Just go find housing in this market...

They lost the info I submitted, have no way to check if the file is being processed at their office. Hopefully I'm not homeless as result of them losing my file and forcing me to wait another 2 weeks+ to hear if I was accepted.

You guys at b.c housing truly need to focus on British Columbians and stop giving all of our housing to the migrants entering our country, we have so many homeless Canadians, many of which are elderly or disabled, who have been waiting so many yrs/ decades for suitable accommodations, these newcomers to this land are clearly receiving housing in record time, it's sickening that you boast about housing Syrians within 2 weeks on ur facebook page. Please start focussing on actual British Columbians again, not everyone but British Columbians. If this country is trying to stop racism,,,,, this is the wrong way to go about it, these actions are causing greater division between the various races, many white people are becoming fed up with how this government is treating true Canadians. SMARTEN UP.

I had a lot questions today and Sophia was very kind and patient and answered everything I needed to know. Sometimes you feel vulnerable, especially when you go into places asking for help and explaining your situation to them. But she understood my concerns clearly and never gave me the feeling of discomfort whatsoever. BC housing has helped our family for rental assistance for some years when we were going through hardship. Really happy with their service and commitment in helping families like us. Thank you BC housing and thank you Sophia for helping me find answers.

I have been fortunate and have recieved housing. I can provide some tips for you here. If you are at any high risk such as fleeing abuse etc. you need to ask for an additional application called a SUPPLEMENTAL FORM you fill this out along with your other BC Housing application and submit them together, or if you have an application already in go back and request the supplemental form and it will be added to your file.This Supplemental Form puts you up quite a few notches when your on a wait list.Also another tip, make sure you provide all the paperwork required and keep any changes to income or rent updated on your file whenever something changes. This helps keep the file active.For those who think that you need to go in looking poor and crying your eyes out with a story I suggest you don't. Instead go in clean and decently dressed and let your paperwork do the talking. The people at the front counter can't help you get in any sooner.When you get called for a building that you choose dress well again and explain your detailed story to the person interviewing you and that's who makes the decisions about what building and what suite your going to get.They are usually called the Property Portfolio Mgr. but sometimes it's their assistant who processes your paperwork.So if they call you that means you have a place and always be grateful for that because I sure am.
