Was recommended to come here by a friend after my car started making a loud revving noise any time it was running as well as having issues accelerating. I came in and spoke to Peter about my issue and he put the car up on the jack right away. He not only diagnosed the problem right away, but he was also able to find a workaround that ultimately ended up saving me money. He was knowledgeable, personable, and with a great sense of humour as well, so the entire experience was great.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. My wheel cylinder came loose and sprayed my brake fluid. I bought the components and brought my vehicle in to have them installed. ( My car was too rusty to remove the bolts myself) some other issues were brought up and I gave the green light to fix them. Told him I'm on a budget and looking to just get the car going so I can sell it at a dealership. I was quoted $150. 3 hours later I get a call and my bill is $450 both my rear brakes were replaced.I was never contacted before moving forward with the repairs. Reasoning was the other brakes may go in a few months. If contacted, I would have told him I would take the chance. But besides that Peter was very informative and professional, gave me a walk around my vehicle, showing me the work they had done and needs to be maintained. I appreciated the professional insight and courtesy. But felt taken advantage of once handed the bill.

Using this garage for 4+ years for my older minivan and occasionally for my in-warranty 4wd car -- always fair-priced and fixed right the first time. I have found Peter consistently honest and reliable -- when bringing a problem in, he gives me the range of possible repairs before he has inspected it, then calls with a diagnosis and suggestion for repairs, often with alternatives depending on my budget and brand preferences. Most of the time, the repairs are less costly than I expected, and he is always good with explaining the rationale and implications. This is an unusually competent and honest repair shop -- the best I've encountered in more than 30 years of driving in Toronto. Worth the trip to Kipling and Lakeshore. Highly recommended.

Dropped off my car at 8:30 am for a tire balance. Had called the night before to ensure they could take it. No call or updates during the day, they turned the phone off, I had to show up at 4:30 to find out they hadn't even looked at it. Wasted an entire day the one day I had to give up my vehicle that I need to use for work. Now I have no idea when I can fit this in my schedule again. Peter looks at me and says oh we were busy.. come back tomorrow. No sorry nothing just excuses because of absolute trash service.

I can't say enough about how comfortable I am leaving my car with Peter. There's a vast difference between a shop that replaces parts and one that troubleshoots and repairs. This crew may not be pretty, but they're pretty damn good at what they do.

I absolutely dread taking my car into the mechanic. I knew I HAD to take it recently and remarked to my partner that quite frankly, I'd rather drive it into a river than have to deal with another shady mechanic. He enthusiastically recommended Peter's shop, and I reluctantly agreed.So happy I did! Peter took the time to explain what was wrong (with diagrams!), what the consequence would be if I left it unfixed, and how much it would cost. I never felt any pressure or heard one peep of up-sell. Once the repair was complete he took me to the work floor and showed me the parts that had been replaced, and explained everything again.Listen, I still know very little about cars, and I can't pretend going to the mechanic is my new favorite hobby, but I can tell you next time it needs to be fixed, I definitely won't think about driving it into a river. I very much recommend this shop to other apprehensive females who dread the whole thing as much as I did. Thanks so much, Peter!
