We came for a Valentine's Day celebration and had an amazing experience. We got the flat iron BBQ with 3 different tapas. Everything was so delicious and we saw other interesting dishes coming out from the kitchen. Definitely coming back to try more. The drinks were fabulous too. Korean inspired with a fresh twist.

This is by far the best Korean dining experience I've ever had!They make so many of their dishes in house, as well as their amazing, unique cocktails.I was pleasantly surprised when I saw uni on the menu in several of their dishes. They have done some collaborations as well for their drinks and I highly recommended trying the one with honeycomb.Their staff was so friendly, it's worth going there for their service alone. The manager, assistant manager, and the owner/chef are so friendly and knowledgeable. They recommended some dishes for me and helped me navigate any dietary concerns.This restaurant is perfect for a quick lunch or a full on dining experience. I'd suggest going with a group of four and sharing a few dishes.I can't wait to go back and try some other things out! This place rocks. See you soon Horang!

The owner puts a subtly cool spin on traditional Korean dishes successfully! Their dining room is clean and modern. We also love how the open concept kitchen opens up the space even more, and you can see the chefs working away your food. Dishes served were presented nicely and all looked super appetizing upon arrival. We enjoyed everything we ordered very much, and just wished we had room to try more dishes. Must visit if you’re ever in Nanaimo, perfect place for friends to catch up over some good food!

Finally trying out this place!Worth the drive from Victoria!Food was really good, great selection of different dishes and all very unique and tasty.A must try if your craving Korean food! Adding this to my must visit restaurants when in Nanaimo.If you visit you must get the old fashioned fried chicken!

What an amazing place. Tried 5 dishes and wish I had room for more. Everything came very fast and was delicious. The waitress was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. Will definitely be going back to try more items.

I was here for a long weekend getaway with my boyfriend and we were blown away by their food, cocktails, atmosphere and service!We actally ended up going twice!OMG.... everything was REALLY GOOD!!Highly recommend!They even have a pastry chef for all the desserts!!Gotta try them out!

Absolutely delicious with good attentive service that can only get better as the restaurant and staff get more comfortable in this brand new space. The creamy rose tteokbokki was delicious as were the bulgogi sliders and the bacon kimchi fried rice. Something sweet, something spicy and everything tasty with generous portions.

We love the decor, space and of course the food! We don’t typically order bulgogi or jayook at restaurants but were glad that we did. The black sesame cheesecake was tasty as well! As expected, we found the food well worth the price point. Looking forward to our next visit and take in some of that Hwayo 45!Thanks so very much!Great job Horang team!

Our dining experience at Horang was just exceptional. This brand new Korean restaurant is so stylish and modern. Really digging the open kitchen concept.The Tiger Prawn Soondubu Ramyun is simply outstanding with its perfectly cooked prawns and rich, flavorful broth. Speechless. Don’t forget to try out their rice wine as well, brewed in Vancouver. An absolute delight.Drove all the way from Victoria, it was worth it. Would definitely recommend.
