Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport

This is a good hotel if you need to get to the airport. When we checked in, we got some complimentary water and cookies. Our rooms were fine but there was some water damage in the bathroom. Since we were only staying a few hours it didn’t matter for us.

Nice clean hotel. Bathroom was equipped with large shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion.Could have used a few more drink cups in the room. Great buffet breakfast.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Not only is it expensive relative to the quality of room and facilities, they do a poor job of house cleaning. We booked this hotel for both our departure to Cancun and arrival back to Canada. Upon our return, we checked in and were shocked to find human waste and toilet paper in the toilet. It could not be flushed either since the water was near the top of the bowl. They changed our rooms, the new toilet worked, however, the inside of the bowl was not cleaned properly and there was a small speck of human waste. To top it all off, the bathroom sink was clogged as well. After 13 hours of travel we were too exhausted to change rooms again. I recommend you look elsewhere for accommodations if you're flying in or out of Halifax.

First thing you see is buckets with thin rope knee high strung all over the parking lot blocking off spaces. Enter the lobby and get hit in the face with stagnant humid chlorine air- ventilation clearly not working. Multiple issues checking in and with getting internet access. Room is dingy, very damp and stagnant, has overwhelming smell of strong cleaner and is hard to breathe. The bathroom is extremely outdated and small. There are 2 bottles of water but you have to pay for them. The thermostat is hanging off the wall and there is a huge hole behind it, the heater smells like damp dirty dog. The cable tv does not work at all. This is my first ever review due to this being my worst experience in hospitality. I feel as though I am in a slum and that there is no competent staff here. Overall I do not feel safe let alone comfortable or welcome. I am supposed to stay for 3-4 nights but I will be leaving asap. This has been a terrible experience.

The location is great for the airport, as it's a shuttle ride away. The day shift front desk lady was great also, but the rooms left lots to be desired. They are extremely small and dated. The bathroom was kinda dingy, too. The restaurant took an hour to get our food.I stay at hiltons twice a week for work and definitely expected more,

Loved everything about our stay. Our flight arrived at 3:36 in the morning so I had booked the room from the day before using Hilton Honors points and cash. It was the perfect place to rest our weary heads for a few hours. The 12:00 check-out was greatly appreciated. I love the online check-in and digital key options which are so convenient! We had lunch at the Cannery. The food and service were both great! We would happily stay here again. It’s a beautiful accommodation.

Got checked in and everything was good. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. I recommend eating there.Now the bad, Woke up to the bathroom smelling like sewer, turned on the shower and no water came out. The water barely was coming out of the bath spout and nothing coming out of the shower. Housekeeping came up and same thing happened for her. The only thing I was offered was to use a shower from a dirty room that some had checked of earlier. That was what I had to do. This hotel has problems and I would not stay here again.On top of that, If you want breakfast, the breakfast buffet that many hotels offer for free, is $16.95 at this hotel. It's just your average hotel buffet, nothing great and not worth anything near $16.95.

Convenient shuttle to the airport if needed, we rented a car so we didn’t use this perk.The Cannery was alright, closes at 10pm.No free breakfast, they charge $17 for their breakfast buffet.Nice location from the airport, it’s right off the highway. It’s less than a 5 min drive to the airport.This hotel is pet friendly.

This hotel location was perfect and close to the airport with easy accessibility to shuttle. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious and our room was spacious and super clean.

I am revising my experience from a few years ago.Pros: great waitresses and food in restaurant was very good. Water and cookies given at check-inCons: Room key did not work, front desks guys were nice and tried to assign another room quickly BUT...room had a dirty floor with hair balls, and other things on floor. Obviously was not cleaned / vacuumed. Room did not have creamer for coffee. Coffee, supplies and a clean room mean a lot to me when traveling. Only rating a 2 as I expect more from a Hilton Garden.
