My first order could not be fulfilled due to a lack in stock. However, the shop took time to help me find a breech they had in stock, that people liked, and was in my price range. Prompt and helpful service. Will definitely be shopping here again for more breeches!

If you are ordering online, be wary of very slow fulfilment of orders. Ordered on December 15th and item did not ship out until December 24th, despite being charged $12.95 for 5-8 days shipping. The company refused to refund my shipping and tried to pass off the delay on Canada Post (note they took 8 business days to even ship out the item). I just received my item today, a Christmas present for my daughter, on January 5th.I ordered from Apple Saddlery and Sprucewood on the 18th and 20th, respectively, and both items arrived before Christmas with free shipping. Horse & Hound obviously cares more about their $12.95 than making things right with their customers. There are plenty of tack shops who value their customers more than this one.

Well, I can honestly say I had never heard of this store before because I have no experience with horseback riding, and I'm located in Barrie so I do most of my dog shopping at the stores here... However, when I did a quick Google search to find a particular dog bed (Snoozer Cozy Cave in XL), Horse & Hound popped up and I was happy to find that they were located relatively close to me! I called the store to see if they did indeed have the cave bed in stock (as it is nearly impossible to find this dog bed anywhere in Canada!) and Penny, the woman who answered the phone, was absolutely wonderful! Not only did she check the stock for me, but she took my cell number and sent me a photo of the dog bed she had in stock and offered to set it aside for me. We continued our conversation via text message and she was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. My dog Archie is very happy with his new cave bed - thank you so much! I will definitely be back to check out the other dog accessories that you sell! :)

Excellent communication between customer & shop. I have recently purchased some items online here as it is too far me to drive out. They had a dog blanket that I wanted which wasn't available at many tack shops near me. Customer service was quick to reply to my emails, and I really like the email that gets sent once your order is placed, you can sign up for package status etc.Will definitely purchase from here again!

I bought two blankets from Horse & Hound, they answered all of my questions very promptly and received my order within a few days! I will definitely be shopping with them again.

I contacted Due North to quote a maple live edge counter top in our 1800s farmhouse kitchen Reno. I hadn’t seen anything like this advertised when I reached out to them. They knew exactly the vision I was going for and delivered above my expectations. I received the most beautiful piece of wood. It truly is the centrepiece of our kitchen. The entire process from ordering to install was flawless. Thank you so much. I couldn’t imagine anyone else for this job. I don’t even have to tell all my friends, the work sells itself!!!!

I ordered two Rambo fly masks at full price plus shipping.When I received them, one was not properly packaged. No plastic wrap. The cardboard was torn open. When I took the mask out, it was covered in horse hair, filthy, and damaged. It has a very strong horse smell. It was clearly a used product. Not just tried on and returned. You would figure in a time like this, they would take hygiene seriously. That’s how equine diseases are spread. I had to go >1hr out of my way to go to the post office to send it back. They should have refunded half of the original shipping cost. They could have sent a replacement mask with a return shipping label for the used one to save me the $40 of diesel and my time. So, one Rambo mask cost me ~$103 not including my time…what a deal!Beyond unacceptable.
