Servus Credit Union - Palisades

This branch used to be amazing! I have banked here for 15+ years. However that has recently changed. I had 3 meetings to add signatures each over 3 hours long. Then when you try to call them they do not answer, it takes over to day to respond to an email. Utterly ridiculous. I will be moving to another bank.

The staff at this branch are amazing! Very thorough, helpful and knowledgeable. Plus it doesn't get any better than earning money through their profit sharing program every year!

I have been a servus credit union member since I was 16, the other branches I have been to have been amazing how ever this one has been nothing but trouble…. I had gotten a big settlement from a car accident and had a large check to deposit into my account from my lawyer.. and they made it into a show and all the tellers stopped and came over to look at it and made me very uncomfortable. A second time I went in to get American money and the teller didn’t know what they were doing and had to constantly ask someone for help and then when they were using the bill counting machine they didn’t do it properly and the money went flying all over the office it was so chaotic. Then today I went to simply get travel insurance which I have done multiple times in person and the first guy passed me off to the second guy saying he didn’t have the log in information so I had to wait while the second guy had a personal conversation with someone and was catching up regarding none banking issues. He then refused to sell me the insurance in person saying I had to call in… I ended up getting my travel insurance some where else. I also will be switching banks.. the people at this bank are incompetent and don’t know what they are doing. I no longer trust them with my money.

Failed" a verification process on the phone for questions that were obviously not on my account file. Is somehow also blocking my wire transfers from the US that I've been receiving for months except for this one specific month. Have to go all the way from St. Albert to Edmonton to get that fixed. Will keep ya'll updated."

On 4th May I visited the palisades branch. I was surprised by the lack of professionalism and customer service. There was a lineup while manager was talking with another employee and both seemed exchanging jokes and two advisers are sitting in office, who are not attending any customer. After sometime one employee approached and when asked for appointment she went to see a financial advisor and returned after sometime and told there is no appointment available.After I reached home I did tried to book appointment online which say there will be a response within 24 hours. But till 09:18 PM on 5th May there is no response. When I tried to call customer service, I just can’t get through and it keeps on advertising that you will win 1 million dollar if you keep money in servus but don’t disclose the catch. If this age of fintech I don’t know what’s going on here. Very disappointed. I will advise ATB financial over servus, if someone wants to use Alberta banking services. Servus says your deposit is secure with servus , yes they are right because you also can’t access you own money when you will be needing it, so good luck if you do banking with them.

As an executor to a handicapped person attempting to buy an investment account at this branch, I found the whole experience appalling, and after reviewing all of the one star reviews submitted here concerning this branch, I would have to say I experienced the worst experiences described in each one. I was so relieved to leave there after so many mistakes and incompetence and inconveniencing customer carelessness,Stalling, and Drama. I was able to get the funds returned to me, after considerable unacceptable delays, and high pressure sales drama, went to Scotiabank, and help him get a great long term high yield investment account. Service yes. Servus, no thanks.

I have a Servus 18 years I really like the service over there they are very excellent to talk and help everything to me.

Servus credit union is a really great bank to deal with. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If a staff member doesn't know the answer to a question you may have, they always do their best to find out an answer.

I've been banking with Servus for 12 years and I've never had such awful service as today. I've been depositing from the same person, my own mother, since 2015 with no issue and suddenly they think it's suspicious and want to put a hold on it. The tellers were fine but the woman I assume is their floor manager all but glared at me while signing it off. I asked why she had an issue and then suddenly didn't and all the tellers repeated it was verification. It takes only a moment because I know they scan in images of every cheque so why was it an issue for the teller to verify that i've deposited from this person herself? Thanks for treating me like some kind of criminal for not forcing my mother who can barely use her phone to learn online banking.Tellers Jennifer and Eddie are not an issue at all.

I have been waiting for 2 days and counting for a call back to set up an appointment and no one is calling. Their call center is poor and cannot give you any information. This is the worst customer care I have ever seen in any bank and do not recommend it to anyone!
