Jerkies Chicken
Got a small jerk chicken for lunch and was impressed by how HOT the food was. That's what you want to see for super fresh food. The flavours are good though I personally think it could've used a bit more seasoning. They also give you plantains which was very nice. Staff are friendly and the food was ready very quickly.

IGNORE the HATERS… the food was amazing.. the fish and chips was awesome.. the plantains were ripe and sweet not dry and gross like a lot of restaurants. My husband loved the oxtail.. the food came really fast from Uber eats. It’s was really hot too. Definitely repeat customers based off this order.

Ordered Jamaican Pattie’s here and they were crispy, hot, delicious, and nicely made. I liked how they flaked and different from general box store Jamaican pattys. Wish there was a bit more meat in the center closer to the edge but that’s just me lol. Thank you for the great service, fast, and hospitality. Will be back when I’m in Ottawa again!!

Second time here. First was during COVID and wasn’t the greatest experience. Second time was today, June 24th - asked for a roti and shown below is what was received. Very disappointed. Go to Island Flava on Dalhousie for roti or Caribbean food - hands down the best in the city.

I went here in the summer, I’m from a small town in Alberta where there is no Caribbean restaurants near me. I ordered the curry chicken, it was flavourful juicy and spicy exactly what I was looking for would definitely come back next summer

I truly didn’t know what to expect. The signage Guyanese Caribbean caught my attention. I must say I wasn’t disappointed. I had the Ox tail with peas and rice, it comes with a coleslaw but I didn’t care much for it . I also had the deep fried Jamaica Patty , I didn’t really like it . I like them baked . The peas and rice were very tasty , probably the best I’ve had . The Oxtail had great flavour and everything was piping hot . Im definitely going back and trying every main on the menu. I’m giving Jerkies 3.9 Randy Stars, better than 1 Micheline star

First time ordering here. I was craving a jerk chicken poutine. It was very satisfying, ranks the second best jerk poutine I've ever had(and there are some local places I've yet to try). I would recommend, although it didn't rank #1 for me, it was delicious. You could taste the depth of flavor and a beautiful hint of scotch bonnet pepper.I will review again after trying other locations.

Don’t order from this restaurant if you know what’s good for yourself. The rice and peas is like dog food filled with oil and the oxtail is just bones. I would rate is -100 if I could! Such a waste of money

I just ordered for the first time through uber eats - and OH MY DAYS this is so good. I had Jerk chicken with the rice and peas and plantain. chicken was so soft and tender, fell RIGHT off the bone. rice and peas seasoned to perfection and plantains cooked amazing. I also had the beef patty - was amazing too. It was so good, i wish I could give double the stars.

Very delicious Indian/Caribbean cuisine in Downtown/Sandy Hill Ottawa. Walking distance to uOttawa. The curry goat dhal puri is amazing. The flavours and spices are very similar to what you get back in India/Guyana
