Open Access does a great job with the administration and service of our group RRSP. They are always responsive to any inquiries that we have and are prompt in their replies. All in all, it has been a great experience for us.

What an absolutely terrible company. I was a first time home buyer looking to use my tax free RRSP withdrawal for the down payment. I spent months looking for the right home and was in contact numerous times via e-mail and phone with Open Access beforehand on the withdrawal. Each and every time I provided my account number, personal information, etc and was told that taking out the funds would not be an issue.Fast forward a few more months and I put an offer on a home that gets accepted. I do the home inspection, hire the lawyer and handle all of the other details. At this point, I circle back to Open Access to make my withdrawal. To my shock, I'm told that I can't do this because of the way my account is setup. It has been this way since the beginning. So, the whole time that they're telling me everything is good & it's actually not. They called it an oversight". Nice of them to generalize ruining lives as an "oversight". The worst part is

We have been with this company since 2017, and I have always been satisfied with their service. They are very responsive to questions and concerns, and they also offer a competitive pricing structure. I am glad to be doing business with them!

I have made several attempts to contact this company's customer support centre. Even tried calling them at the start of the day, and it keeps going straight to voicemail. Cannot even get a hold of other departments. Busy signal.

They know their work quite well and are doing a wonderful job. Lazaros Kotsopoulos helped me with all my queries and is wonderful to talk to. I am very happy that my hard earned money is being handled by such great professionals.

Good luck withdrawing your funds. They will refuse sending them as is (you will have to sell) and it will take forever. Very slow company. Do not bother and instead look for a company that is agile enough that an RRSP transfers does not take months to finalize.

I ran into some trouble with a very old group retirement savings plan. There were some misunderstandings with the transition from our previous provider. We spoke to 5 different providers and Open Access is the only one that understood our concerns as an employer. The team at Open Access is amazing to work with.
