Fraser Wood Siding
Product is useless in the direct sun, south and west walls are a disaster whereas the north and east walls look pristine. I complained and Fraser sent a rep over who said the product was installed incorrectly but was unable to offer an explanation as to why it was like new on the north and east walls. The product failed because of the sun. Warranty is useless, a cowardly company, avoid like Covid.Connor Grimes

Update August 23/2022:Fraserwood has reached out and has offered to supply some touch up paint. The rep called and was determined to help. Thank you Brian! We are very happy with the product! Looks beautiful but after 6 years some of the white trim is pealing. We are happy to touch up the trim ourselves and submitted a claim under the warranty. We are simply requesting some touch up stain for the trim.We hope Fraserwood will reach out and fulfill their warranty obligations. We will update if Fraserwood takes care of this.In summary, happy with the product but disappointed with the customer service around the warranty.

The siding has only been installed for 6 years and repainting it now (it's needed it for 2 yrs). Same issue with the stain peeling off the south facing knots and a lot of boards have what appears to be the core of the tree - pithy /soft and popping out, leaving deep channels that require filling before painting. Lots of cupping too. Not sure if this is a feature of all wood siding products or just this one but definitely buyer beware.

we chose fraser because of the 20yr warranty and the look of real wood. There were some innitial issues with the install that were resolved and inspected by their rep, and approved, we thought our warranty was valid and it meant something! now when we bring up the issue with the finish coming off the knots find that Fraser don't really honour their warranty and call this delamination rather than peeling. They suggest a different brand of finish than what was originally specified, does this leave the impression that they know what was being used was inferior? The process of making a claim and all the photo's and e-mails was such a hassle and for what? Fraser's customer service and resolution skill is horrible. After spending Thousands more to chose their product over another brand because of a longer warranty, as a customer I'ld expect a site visit to view the problem and an offer of how Fraser will make up for the shortcomings of their product selection and finishing at the factory. We are also experiencing some cupping of the wood and when it rains with a wind water does get behind the siding so certainly the tyvek barrier is a must for this product along with drainage at the bottom. So dissapointed by their team members who seem to merely be gate keepers slamming the door on customers rather than allowing access to meaningful discussion that would resolve the issue. After a week they did not respond further and we reached out to the sales rep here in Ontario and it seems he can't do much without the factory authorizing a site visit. Certainly we'll never use this brand again!

Fraser siding was installed in 2017. Spring of 2018, we had the Fraser representative inspect the siding as the paint was pealing off the knots. They offered us a one gallon pail of paint and a good luck on getting our home painted. (and less than a week to decide or their offer would be withdrawn) Customer relations left us feeling bullied. We are in our sixties and retired, with a very limited income. The 15 year warranty for the cost of paint and labour to home owners seems to be FAKE news. We will never recommend Fraser. Homeowners beware!
