I highly recommend RK tax law. I thought that I could handle emigrating from Canada to the US myself... and I was wrong! I incorrectly filed my taxes and CRA came looking for me to pay over $40,000 in taxes on my US income. I hired RK Tax Law to review my taxes and represent me in the CRA inquiry. They were very thorough in their information gathering and fought to have me considered a non-resident retroactive. The CRA ultimately agreed with their assessment and removed all taxes to my US income (which should have been done in the first place.) I was hit with a complex CRA issue at the end of 2017. When the issue was cleared up a year later, CRA sent me an assessment with a huge owing amount in interests and penalty for a prior year. With panic, I approached Rosen Kirshen Tax Law for help and Jeff started a CRA Review application for me.Jeff is a real professional. He is extraordinarily gifted and quick in thinking and strategizing. He radiates calm confidence and knows the tax act and CRA practices inside out. Thanks to his arrangements, no tax collectors had ever called me while I was waiting for the review decision. After six months the decision came and it was negative. Demoralized and exhausted, I was about to give up. But Jeff said calmly that CRA was wrong. He encouraged me to go for the second review application. Hearing what he said, I knew instinctively which path to take so the second application went in. Six months later, the second decision came. It was positive; CRA waived almost all the interests and penaltyand refunded me what I had paid.Jeff is a calm and real talent.
