Sportsman Barber

Excellent hair cuts and the barber is professional all the way.

I've been going to this barbershop once a month for probably the last 10 years now. I consider Johnny, the owner and primary barber, a good friend due to all my visits. The secondary barber alternates between a few faces and they're all such nice people. You get more than just a hair cut when you go in, you also get a great conversation and a few good laughs. Cuts are great and the prices are fair, definitely recommend!

What can i say? He is a good barber and nice guy.But today he did something that wasn't in good value.I asked for a hair cut and he told me to wait around but he couldnt have nore than 4 people in. That's totally fine. My home is right beside him so i tell the guy who is waiting outside that I'm just going to go to my house and come back.I come back 30 mins later and he has only seen 1 more customer and the guy who was outside is now waiting inside for his turn. No problem. I was still willing to wait but the barber saw me and said he couldn't see me outside so i had to wait my turn for the others that came after me. He said it was because i didn't tell him where i was going. This doesn't make any sense. He still hadn't even seen the guy in front of me yet. I knew that since there was originally 3 people ahead of me and 1 barber this was going to be over an hour wait.The fact that he already told me to wait around and i confirmed that i would indicates that i want his service. There is no reason for him to set some rule that i had to be right outside his door in the cold weather. And again he hadn't even seen the guy in front of me yet.Then he made it an issue in front of all the customers as if i was at fault.At the end of the day he can set his own personal rule and that's fine.But it does not make sense. It not even a credit to the other people who came after me.The real unfortunate thing is that i always give him an extra 10 to 20 dollar tip. Guess that doesn't mean anything.Side Point:Almost every business is doing things by appointment. As to why he isn't and thinks its totally fine making people wait both inside and outside for hours is beyond me.

To put things into perspective…. We live in a big busy world. But there is only one person I entrust with the task of cutting my hair. John is a master barber.

Best haircut I ever had discovered this place just recently.True gem one of a kind traditional barber shop.Rare to find somewhere these days and receive a proper hair cut.From now on this will be the only place I go.Highly recommended worth the time and money every time.

John the Barber is by far the BEST in the city!! I've been seeing him for 25 years and I would follow him anywhere. He does not take appointments but worth the wait. Most times you get in within 10 minutes.

Very happy with my cut. Got laid as soon as i walked in my house. For real though, super happy sir.
