TOM CAMPBELL'S HILL OFF LEASH DOG PARK

This was my first time at this little gem of a park!The folks walking their pups were all so friendly and the sights were stunning!It’s certainly not the biggest park in the city, but it’s great if you have a pup that lives to run around and play. I will definitely be back! And can’t wait to see it in the summer!

I would like to mention that it is not a dog park. It is considered an off leash park. Presumably that means dogs, as I have yet to see somebody walk a cat into the park, but I am hopeful. The entertainment of a cat scurrying up a tree along the beautiful tree lined pathway would entertain me to no end. In past days this was area that the zoo used to tend to animals and prior to that was a sort of livestock reservation, but it may not be appropriate for the zoos 500+lbs. cats at current.

The entrance to this park is unfenced and we observed some pretty negligent dog ownership at this park. Would not recommend to go with your dog, but the view is nice if you’re in the area by yourself.

I've driven by so many times, I really wanted to check out this park. There is parking at the top of the hill and the path from parking lot to the informational plaques is lined with trees that look like they have been severely pruned (were they all hit with the same disease?) The park features natural prairie (except for the trees on either side of the main path). The views are spectacular. The park is well loved and busy. There are a myriad of trail options to make up for the fact that the park is not huge. Clearly a neighborhood dog park that gets lots of traffic. Everyone is friendly here - dogs AND pet owners! If looking for a longer walk, this is a great place to start to hit a series of of leash dog parks to the North.

Love this spot. The dogs love it, it’s not usually super busy. And their is a great view of the downtown

Awesome off leash park with stunning views of Calgary and the mountains too (on a clear day). My dog absolutely loves to run around here summer or winter and make friends!
