Informed consent is not a part of participating in the St John’s Ambulance occupational first aid courses. When I expressed discomfort with removing some articles of clothing and the exercises I was told I would not get my certificate unless I complied exactly with the instructor demands. This course is not meant for individuals with anxiety or special considerations for dress and modesty. I would recommend against taking this course.

They are giving in person class during Covid, but it is limited days and space ; some scientific information were outdated and the why" were not always answered.I did prefer the Red Cross given by paramedics

Good central location, plenty of free parking, hard copy books available for purchase in class and purchase(low cost) as well as free on line manuals. Large open well lit classrooms. Plenty of manikins(all sizes) for 1 on 1 and group training.Pleasant staff and knowledgeable instructors.First aid/AED and emergency products available for purchase. The AED prices are average check to see the specials. The first aid kits are really pricey for what you get.Good amenities(washrooms, student kitchen). Many commercial services within short walk distances. Domino's, Tim Horton's, Starbucks, KFC, 7-11.Need to add a few more course times for CPR C and evening courses.

Overdue update:I stopped by the next day after the initial review and the manager Dan Morrison met up with me and apologized for the early closure (he started work early but closed shop early without posting a sign). I was still interested in purchasing a N95 box but he ended up donating an opened box to me (consists of 4 individually sealed masks). I thanked graciously and used one for one occurrence (not for the wedding; I ended up using standard reusable cloth with PM 2.5 filters because idiot me didn't factored in my updo and the dual N95 straps would've ruin my hair, and my daughters' hair for the event) with the rest now safely stored in my emergency preparedness kit.I will be stopping by in the future to make actual sale transactions for emergency preparedness supply restocks and other safety merchandise.---Not impressed came to the location 15 minutes before closing and everything was already locked up. No signage stating they are closed early. Call was rerouted to the general call centre in which the rep apologized for the inconvenience and suggested to call tomorrow in the morning to check on the hours.Leaving it as 4 stars for now but so far sort of shaking my head. I have a wedding to attend and need to get a pack of N95 masks for me and my children ASAP as there are COVID suspicious folks who will be attending despite strong recommendations for said individuals to stay home. The limited hours make it difficult to stop by as I usually work almost the same as their business hours and they are closed on weekends.
