** DO NOT GO HERE FOR PASSPORT PHOTOS ****I went to this Walmart Photo Center in the Woodgrove Shopping Mall in Nanaimo about 2 months ago to get a passport photo. It took well over an hour to even get the employees to stop their personal conversations with each other or to return from their breaks to even get this done when there was no one else even in the department. That was the first problem, and should have been my first clue.Finally got the passport photos done, and they included a checklist that came from their Advanced AI System" that showed that it had reviewed the photo that had been taken and that it was in full compliance with all Canada Passport requirements.Sent the passport application in

Not sure why some dude with long wavy hair is standing at the door at 945 telling me I can’t come in because “all his tills are closed” 15 min before the store hours are over. It says you’re open until 10. I get it, you want to go home. So do I. I finish work at 9 and by the time I get there, it’s 945. If you don’t want to welcome customers until the store reaches its closing hour, then don’t work in retail.

Went shopping with a couple of friends at 8pm today. We had a few items between us and while checking out, around 5-6 front end employees swarmed around, giving us bad looks as if we were trying to get out of paying for stuff (we are POC). They went over to our till once we were nearly out of the store. Felt really awkward and weirded out after getting out. Wouldn't recommend.

Must Read. Like if you have felt the same.I was doing a big shopping at island highway walmart the other day and I had a terrible experience. My cart was almost full and the front end associates were giving me a very bad look. They were under the prejudice thought that I was stealing something coz I am a POC. Their prolonged and noticeable gaze made me feel self-conscious and uneasy throughout my time in the store. This behavior persisted throughout my check out time and it had a negative impact on my shopping experience. As a loyal customer of Walmart, I have always valued the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. However, this recent experience at this particular store left me feeling quite disheartened. I believe that it is crucial for the front end associates to treat customers with respect, regardless of the size or nature of their purchases. It is totally unprofessional when front end associates talk in their native language in a multicultural work place. I don't know if they were talking something against me or not.

i lost my wallet here and nobody would even take down the description and my name/number, they told me to keep checking back every day" which is not possible as i don't drive and i don't have the time to go back and forth on the bus. the self checkouts are also super annoying and i quite often get accused of stealing when i haven't done anything. if you don't trust me to scan my items then bring back the cashiers instead of only having 1 at a time. sadly i've witnessed a lot of discrimination towards indigenous people at this walmart so i don't think i'll be returning. do better."

When they aren't harassing you to get a Walmart credit card the staff here are absolutely useless. Don't know if it's just me but the last three times I've been here I'm held up for close to 20 mins while trying to pay for my stuff either because the machines aren't working, staff doesn't have a clue or both.

Might be going to HR on Walmart after they called my boss and said they don't want me there for giving my friend a handshake before I was working and signed into my shift sure he was get kick out store but I never new at time I also suspect I have autism spectrum disorder and I have ADHD so I know many youth I'm my social life and feel it was a factor to why I was removed that was not my fault for any of the actions they did if I ever find this was why I was let go I be going to . Call global ethics at corporate and report the issue and Also call local HR office

Tracy in the Garden Center is a rockstar! She treats every customer with such kindness and attention and is super knowledgeable. Whatever you pay her...it needs to be double. Thanks Tracy! ❤ My dogs memorial garden is going to be beautiful!

Wherever you are, you will always stop by a Walmart on your way home, what could be better than a Walmart next to your house... It's so easy to get food and toys, and if you don't like it, you can always bring them back!)

We went to this location to purchase grocery items, a cart would have been useful but now that you have to insert money for one that was out as we had no change with us, so asked the security guy why no baskets available. Apparently they have all been stolen, they only have about 3 in the store. Seems pretty ridiculous a big company like this can’t keep baskets available in their store for customers, baskets should be available throughout the store actually. We went elsewhere to shop.
