This was an extremely pleasant and quick experience. We were lucky enough to get a last minute slot with Bruce & Da By's and reached out to them first because of their sterling reputation. The two movers who worked with us were very gracious because we had our furniture disassembled and our boxes packed, but they really came through for us when we moved our belongings into a storage facility. They were able to pack everything into a unit we thought was too small! They really made this a pleasant experience and charged reasonably for their amazing service. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to move in the St. John's area.

Had this company on two occasions to move some very valuable and fragile furniture. They did a great job both times. Also they were on time for each job. Highly recommend.

The person I dealt with would only deal in text. I do not often use text so I missed a text message and with no follow up phone call to me or notice of cancellation they cancelled the booking, causing us a week of hassle and rescheduling. - I reluctantly rebooked for the next week, thinking poor business strategy on their part, but chalked it up to my inexperience with newer tech business practices.The following week I checked for the text - good thing too, because this time they informed me the move was going to cost $310 more than we had done the previous move only a month before! For a total of $465 (this was to move student's twin size bed, a small desk, chair, a small loveseat and 6 boxes, door to door in town, took 3/4 an hour load and unload house to house) - that they charged a three hour minimum. When I informed them of the different charge for same items only last month, they said they had no record of a previous move associated with this number, so I gave them the number we booked the previous move with.At this point they tried to tell me I was in the wrong again because I added things to the move. (I did not). - Then I was informed they would not take anything but the core bedroom furniture items ( without the boxes or loveseat) for the price I had paid previously. - I had no choice but to confirm to at least move the furniture at the original price as the move had to be the next morning. - The guys who showed up to do the move, as always, were fabulous, fast and super to deal with but as great as they were, they don't make up for what I can't help but feel was an attempt to gouge me the night before a move. - As for this mover... I can not recommend.
