This was our first experience dealing with a college of any type. My daughter recently graduated from High School last year and Robertson College was recommended to her by one of her teachers as a college that would fit her learning style. On our first visit to the college, my daughter and I felt this overwhelming feeling of warmth from the ladies at Reception and a feeling of genuine welcoming. We then were introduced to my daughter’s Career Counsellor who my daughter had been corresponding with prior to the visit. The correspondence prior to the visit was always very informative and my daughter felt that “Diana” seemed very nice and eager to assist her in anyway. We ended up spending a couple of hours with Diana. She provided us with a great deal of information to ensure that my daughter had all that she needed to make an informed decision. We did not feel rushed. We were also lucky enough to be able to speak with the Instructor of the course my daughter was interested in.What I found so surprising about this visit was that it was not just a matter of sign here and pay there. They truly seem to want their students to succeed. They could have just taken our money and sent us on our way, however, that was not what happened. My daughter ended up choosing another course that would better suit her learning and she is very excited to be starting next fall.Kim Hamilton

I would not recommend Robertson College Calgary Campus to anyone. I did the Health Unit Clerk program and found the course to be extremely out of date. The instructor taught a lot of things we don’t actually do when we’re hired. The only thing we did on the computer was typing and a 2 day word/excel course.I also found the teacher to be extremely rude and unapproachable. She did not treat us like adults and if someone in the class didn’t understand something she had a way of making them feel stupid. If anyone tried to have a conversation with her not related to school, she would not look interested, or simply say “you don’t need to tell me that.”By the end of my program, someone from the school did a review on her and they sat in on the class for an hour. It was laughable at how nice she was and how she interacted with us. She would leave for long periods during class time or come in late after lunch and sometimes leave us with no direction and would get angry with us when we were just talking amongst ourselves. No one would pipe up in class because they feared of not getting a good placement in their practicum because she got to decide who goes where.$11,500 for a 6 month course, outdated curriculum and a teacher that actually doesn’t care about your studies, it was not worth the money.

I really enjoyed my time at robertson college, I took the health care aide program. However, in the five months I was there my class had 9 different instructors. But once all the classroom stuff was over, and we were on practicum, everything was so much better. It was hard to constantly be adapting to the variety of instructors that came through, they kept telling us it was a good thing, but maybe it was why we were all so stressed by the end of the program....

I'm usually not one to write reviews but reviews are huge now and I don't want anyone else to go through what I'm going through. I'm enrolled to start school in an online program. I applied for funding to pay for school and to help with purchasing a computer to complete my schooling. Funding is all good until now that the school as to confirm my enrolment. There is no documentation or communication what so ever that the school requires you to complete 2 weeks of schooling before they confirm your enrolment with Student Aid or any funding facility. This now puts off funding for a months time, their solution is borrow a computer. I don't have that option. I have spoken to many people and no one is willing to help in anyway and just keeps saying its their policy not that this policy is stated anywhere. This now screws over a mom of 2 children and someone who wants to change their life and get a career, it definitely has discouraged me and now puts me behind in my academics. I would really do your research before applying to this school. Very disappointed, if I actually get to continue school I hope the classes are better than my experience so far. :(

I wish I could give this school a zero star for delaying me in completing my program. It was not my mistake that the teacher is not nice and I am a student with hearing loss. I feel Robertson college care more only about their reputation than they care about the future of their students. You get withdrawn from a program and they leave you with government student loan that you will have to struggle to pay. I also found the teacher Ms.Mackenzie extremely rude, she doesn't help us in class. I will not recommend this school to other new students. I regret joining this school.

I am currently attending Robertson College for LAA ( Legal Administrative Assistant). I find the atmosphere to be very friendly and great. The classes are decent sized so you get that one on one feel as well as you get to know all your classmates. I find my course to be very in depth but very knowledgeable. My teachers were good but some were great! Overall the experience was great and well worth taking!!

I'm just about to start my practicum after 6 months of classroom instruction at Robertson College, in the Veterinary Office Assistant program. This program is awesome. There's a nice balance of hands-on and typical lecture/notes. The instructors really want to see you succeed and push you to do your best. The administrative staff are friendly. I couldn't be happier to have chosen Robertson as my college.

My time at Robertson College was intense and I was committed to reach the high expectations of the program. The reception staff was friendly and welcoming every morning; my career counselor supported me through the process; my teacher motivated and challenged me to do my best. I had the opportunity to meet classmates from different professional backgrounds that enriched the experience.I also appreciate the fact that I will continue to receive support during my quest for a job. I felt that the whole team at Robertson College cares for our success. Cecilia

Teacher was nice for my program. But I'd recommend going to a proper college. No one will return your calls regarding paperwork and tax forms. Once you pay them they don't care what your experience is. Administration at this college" is disorganized and unhelpful."

I was asked to speak to someone at the school about leaving a review but I think it would be more helpful to post it here.I took the Administrative professional/bookkeeping course and even though I found the teacher to be helpful I found the whole student atmosphere to be inappropriate. Our teacher was away on vacation for a whole week which I found to be highly inappropriate.Textbooks and programs are outdated. I found that they don't do a good background check on the company they send their student to for practicum either.I don't blame the price (even though ridiculous for what you're taught) on them because it was my decision to enroll but I would encourage others to look into Sait or Bow Valley for these programs.
