Initial site visit was very pleasant with the engineer. He said we would be contacted within a couple of weeks. 1.5 months later still nothing. I inquired was told end of the week. 2 weeks later we received a quote of the price breakdown for the job but, no indication as to how much it could cost. Received an invoice for the initial visit very quick. Nobody has ever followed up. If you have a small job you are obviously not important to them. Money better spent anywhere else.

Jeff runs an amazing company. Allester Engineering Ltd. is always professional, knowledgable, responsive and friendly. Jeff is not only an amazing engineer with a wealth of knowledge and experience, but a great business owner who is always a pleasure to work with. I work at Marino General Contracting Ltd. Had an initial call, explained my project, they said they were interested in the job and asked for some documents to prepare a quote. I've sent the documents, then nothing. Followed up multiple times, and every time they reiterated that they were interested in the job and that I'd hear back from them by a certain time, which they never met. About 4 weeks after I've sent all the documents, I received an email back saying they couldn't help me because of a number of internal reasons". Thanks for wasting my time."

A good friend referred me to Jeff Allester to undertake the structural design of an addition to our wilderness lodge. I had pretty specific ideas about the design, and Jeff was very flexible and understanding of my needs. He had the patience to decipher my amateur drawings, and the expertise to verify all the details and make sure the whole project was sound. We have now succesfully completed the structural/framing inspection, and I am one happy customer! Jeff has been a pleasure to work with, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services.
