We normally go to Cowichan Aqustic Center as it is closer to us, but after my little one had lessons at FJCC, we opted to do our public swim there. The small pool is perfect and mangeable with two little ones as the whole thing is shallow. It was a blast.

Wonderful facility with friendly staff and great aquafit instructors, not forgetting our great front desk lady.

This is an impressive pool for a smaller community. Tons of fun with basketball, rope swings, climbing wall, and kiddie pool that is nice and warm.2022 update- still great!

Humiliating lied to or accidentally given the wrong start start time by the person working who wasn't even friendly. Then has to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a refund because shedidnt want to give cash backand I had to wait with 2 wet kids and a baby for 45 minutes while she ignored me crying and helped other people eventhough I was right infront of her holding a crying baby she decided to make make us wait (45 minutes to 60 minutes) even longer wet and cold!!!!!!!!For a refund.Because we got there at 5:20 from Duncan was told they opened at 6, even though google said they were open.We decuded to wait until 6.APPARENTLY it was 630 but fricking sat there watched us wait and go in at 6 SAID NOTHING. Then the LIFEGAURD told us he would graciously let us stay in a hot tub with a baby and 2 kids for almost 30 minutes more until the pool opened.NEVER going back and cancelling my sons swmming lessons.that I waited months to book.

Fantastic pool! It's definitely smaller than the Cowichan Aquatic Centre and Nanaimo Aquatic Centre, but that gives a cozier, more community feel to it. There's a cold pool, a shallower warm pool, a small hot tub, and fun other features like a diving board, climbing wall, small poolside slide, and sauna. Change rooms and the lobby are kept very clean and tidy. Overall a great pool in Ladysmith!

Great kid's pool. Pleasant staff. Clean- lots of activities/pool toys for kids. Very reasonable rates. Asset to community.

Pool gets 5 starts for those with kids. Hot tub is a bit small and kids constantly in way of rail so hard to get down and parents don’t seem to ask their kids to get out of the way.Only reason for 3 stars is public access is so limited. Every time we go it’s closed to public for some private event or therapy time or something. Even the hot tub. Even the little pool when it’s not being used. Sunday’s basically has no swim time and closes early Saturday which is a day we like to go as a family. Not everyone is around early in the day because of sports. So it’s nice to go swimming from. 6-8 but they are closed. Sunday only had two hours open for public. Same with most of week. Not ideal being a public facility to be open to the public 2 hours a day at inconvenient fines.

My daughter just attended a birthday party here. They had the entire pool to themselves! Awesome.
