Will not use Wayne Lucas Burner Service LTD. again. Service people that showed up were excellent and friendly. When it came to billing, we were charged shop rate $190.00 per hour which is fair. However, we were also charged shop rate for 1.5 hours of travel time due to them not having the proper part. On top of the shop rate travel charge there was an additional 150km @ $0.50 for their trip to Peterborough from Port Hope.Upon calling to resolve the heavily inflated travel expense, they replied with that's how it's billed and there's nothing we can do.Going forward, there is many other service providers in the area that we will look to for maintenance and repairs. Hopefully this can save others from the overbilling.

Wayne's use to be a great company to deal with; fair and honest!My last experience was just awful. It started good but ended with me have to spend MORE money to fix what they had broke!I called and was told a tech would be by to examine the furnace. When the tech arrived I showed him the furnace and he examined it; diagnosed the problem as an ignite switch. He stated he would return shortly.When the tech returned he took an extremely long time to replace the part....at one time watching a you-tube video on installing the part.In the past this part has taken no more than a half hour to install (had part replace a couple times in past). When he finished the installation of the part he asked me to turn on the furnace switch. I had just turned around and he stated turn it off. When I looked back I could see the smoke coming from the furnace motherboard. The installer blew the motherboard on the furnace. I walked away to let him to compose himself. The installer stated that he had to put another board in and I had to pay for it. I found this to be unreal, I watched him fry it and now he expected me to pay for it. I understand mistakes happen but to not take any ownership for his work, and pass it to the customer is very sad indeed!!! I might have worked out something fair but they just expected me to pay for their error.I will be taking this company to small claims court out of principle and I will post the results. This company is awful to deal avoid them like the plague!!!!

Excellent service, courteous and friendly service people, came on time and installed new propane furnace and removed old oil furnace and tank. Fast and efficient. Very pleased with this company. Would use again.

I wouldn't deal with anyone else! I've used this company over the last 8 years to install a new furnace (in the dead of winter, when our old one died), a new gas fireplace and duct work for a new kitchen. They were here today to help sort out a new a/c. They are super helpful and have a great work ethic.

Furnace wasn't coming on. They came in, claimed it was my nest thermostat, stated they have no idea about them cause no one uses nest"

Not a scam company or a bad company, but HEAVILY influenced by commissions.If you use them, and they pull out a TRANE packet, just remember this review and call someone else.

The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star rating is the part needed to fix furnace took 2 weeks to arrive. Not their fault but -24° is hard in a side split house! Besides that...they were lovely start to finish.

Terrible.Came to fix my furnace as it was leaking, not only did they not fix it but they billed me to tell me I have a leaky furnace.Called someone else and they diagnosed and fixed my furnace.I'm appalled by this company.

Charged for a condensate pump that did not need to be replaced. Make sure any replaces parts installed by this company are left with you.I called the company that makes the pumps and asked how I would know whether or not the pump was dysfunctional. I tried the old pump (1 year old) and it worked!!!!!While on the call a circuit board was replaced — which was covered under our labour and parts warranty.So, even though the pump didn’t need to be replaced they charged us for the part and for labour — should not have been charged because the actual problem was protected by the warranty. Paid $223.74 when we should have been charged $0.Don’t use this company!!!!!
