I am sorry Dezsil's experience was so discomforting for mine was the opposite after my son died. The coroner called me several times with updates since determining the cause of his death was lengthy. He was considerate, encouraged me to call him back if I had concerns and answered any and all questions thoroughly without jargon. I couldn't have asked for a kinder, more knowledgeable and thorough person to tell my son's last story.

It was hard enough losing my sister at the age of 30. She left kids behind. The coroner was supposed to contact me, the next of kin but they did not. They were rude when I called. Their explanation was that they called the numbers that KGH had on file. Those numbers were my deceased mother's. The police gave the coroner's office my number. It has been 12 days since my sister's passing, and half of my family lives out of province (and needs to return to work asap). We are all very angry that the coroner's office could drop the ball like this. I didn't even get an apology.
