A LEAGUE OF OUR OWN

First year playing in A League of Our Own! There is a pretty good mix of competition, a good mix of skill levels on most teams. With it being modified fast pitch, you will see some pitchers who can throw a little harder. Most guys are not throwing that hard but its faster than most leagues. Being my first year that has taken some adjustment. The quality of overall play is decent. Some teams field the ball well, others not always. So a grounder might be an out if its to a position player. If you hit a flyball it has a reasonable chance of being caught.Last year I played 3 pitch, this is a higher level of competition and more fun for sure. I did have a background of playing hardball as a kid but that was a good 15-18 years ago, so this provides a good level of competition. I am looking forward to playing again next year to see if I can make improvements on better extra base power.
