Action Flooring & Design Abilities

We needed to replace the flooring in our bathroom. We were referred to Brayann through a friend at Puroclean. We hired them to both the shower surround and the tile floor.The shower surround went perfectly! The tile floor had a few issues with spacing, however they were quick to send a crew out (Saturday evening/ Sunday afternoon) to rectify the issues. We couldn’t be happier with the service of both Action Flooring and their installation crew!Thank you again for the amazing experience!

Awesome !! We went with Action Flooring for our whole house through a contractor after a disaster with another company. Let’s just say they saved the day !! We were match with Karoline and she was amazing. Really fast turn around and knowledgeable. I asked her later on to help me find a carpet for my sister’s basement last minute and was amazed. Everything was done faster then expected and really high end quality. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs flooring and will go back when I need something else.If you’re looking for an excellent place with great price and great service, this is it !!

The only thing consistent from Action Flooring is disappointment.Our family was scheduled to complete a small tiling project around our fireplace on January 23. I took the day off work only for Action Flooring to no-show us. After a few calls with the office, a new installer was promised to come in the afternoon. The office told us that Mike is one of their best installers! The installer showed up at 4:00pm only to let us know that they would not start the project and another appointment would need to be scheduled. I took another day off work the same week (Jan 27) for Thursday and an additional couple hours were also required on Friday morning (Jan 28) to complete the work. After we thought the project was behind us, we noticed Action Flooring's installer left us deep permanent scars on our driveway where they were cutting the tile for our project. Centre of the walkway in front of the garage door. It's a constant reminder of the unprofessionalism and how inconsiderate they are. They don't care about your personal space and belongings. Not only do I not recommend Action Flooring, I actively tell everyone in my network about my poor experience. Both contractors and customers need to look at alternatives for professional work.

I've only experienced working with Action Flooring for a year, but I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for flooring renos. They did an incredible job replacing the carpets/PVC in my apartment buildings. The entire process felt smooth with how transparent and knowledgeable the team was. The carpet layer was prompt in keeping me updated on his work and plans for completion. Our follow up inspection for any discrepancies was a peace of mind for me as a client. Truly thankful for your work!

This would have been ranked as 1 Star, but Oshea was excellent to deal with. Everything with this flooring project went sideways. From not measuring correctly, to not installing correctly and delivery of product not needed. And putting their stuff on a $5K dinning table. Incorrect height for sub flooring, not installing toe kicks or baseboards correctly. The list went on. And then requested more money for items they said they did but didn’t. For example removal of toilet but didn’t touch the bathroom at all. Definitely wasn’t a win and the project took longer than expected.

We were impressed with Action Flooring from start to finish: they’re a big operation with a multi-layered approach so that nothing gets overlooked. And nothing did get overlooked. Their communication is flawless. Lindsay was great in the showroom, Russel came out for the quote and drew a map of the floor area where the new engineered hardwood was to be installed, and the map was so detailed, that I was practically sold from that point on. Though we got two other quotes from different companies, Action Flooring was far more detailed than the others; it wasn’t the cheapest, but it was more comprehensive, accommodating such needs as providing hard-to-find trim and stretching adjoining carpet. Next came the QC(Quality Control) guy, Edwin, and he came to advise what needed to be taken out in terms of subfloor, trim, and tile in order to prepare for the most trouble-free installation of the new floor. He and Russell came again to inspect the floor once the tear-out was completed to ensure the floor was level and advise what adjustments might be made. The delivery of the hardwood was flawless. The coup de grace, however, was the installer, Thomas who was bar-none, the best carpenter I’ve ever met. He laid down the hardwood as if it was for his own house. The cuts he made to work in the new flooring showed he loved the challenge to make the floor look the best it could. If ever there was a tradesman who plied his trade as an art form, it was Thomas. What an artisan. The job was a difficult one because of the age of our old house, the stairs, the tight corners, the small space, and the odd angles that were never really square. Not only was he meticulous, but he was efficient, fast, and methodical. Friendly and funny, too. The floors are everything we could hope for and we really felt that all the parts added up to something greater than the sum: Thanks Action Flooring, for a great experience!

We dealt with Paul as our sales person. He was very helpful and selected products for us to try in the rooms we were renovating. He was punctual when he came to measure the space and had a number of suggestions to enhance the look of the rooms.The reception staff were very pleasant and personable when we were in the store or any time we called to ask numerous questions.The installation staff were very accommodating when we had to reschedule our original install date. The installers that arrived to install the flooring were fabulous. The removed the rugs and laminate and tidied up the areas. They made sure that the subfloor was screwed down and the joints were smooth, even applying levelling compound where needed. The finished product looks superb and is flawless!We have dealt with other flooring companies in the past and highly recommend Action Flooring!

Wonderful service by everyone at Action flooring, who worked on my elderly mom’s house. Special shout out to Russell who was first contact and Travis and his crew. It’s nice to see people that actually take pride in their work! They also cleaned up and re-did shoddy workmanship previously done by another company. Would never recommend, even to my worst enemy!Picking the flooring and the sales lady that came to our house at the start was the only good experience with action flooring. Everything from scheduling to the quality of work has been a complete nightmare!!! Floors were purchased February 2022 and as of May 2023 we are still dealing with problems! They took forever to install and had to come remove the tile we had done 3 times before it was done properly. At one point we had an installer in our house while we weren't home and they called my wife and said oh you don't want that person at your house. We will send someone different tomorrow" not sure what that means but sounds sketchy to me. Now
