Beacon Thrift Shop

I've had a number of horrible experiences with the staff ans volunteers at this store. My first time bringing them 2 high quality with tags I was told next time to bag or box my donation in a less than appreciative tone. Yesterday I went inwith a garbage bag full of good unstained clothing...I was looked up and down obviously the lady felt I was less than and given the second degree on what I was bringing, then rudely shoed off to te rear of the store. The kicker though is one-time was shopping ad Pic up a shirt and decided not to buy it. One often volunteers Basically yelled through the whole store I was a thief! I showed her whee t-shirt wasNot even an apology

Drove across town to show up 15 minutes to close and the workers had already locked the door. And were closed with the gate down a few minutes later. If you want to close at 4:45 fine but post it.

Prices are fine, staff are unpleasant - cold as ICE. Hello" and "thank you" go a long way. Would not return."

Lots of stuff but overpriced articles .No bags and not overly friendly place.

Well you blew it today when my daughter in a wheelchair accompanied by her certified PADS dog were left waiting at the back door [after 3 requests to open it] and finally she left because no-one opened it for her? WTH? What part of 'community' is this? If I could give you ZERO stars I would. SHAME on you Beacon. You lost a few customers today. Inconsiderate !

I bought a few small items from this thrift store, however- the cashier wasextremely rude, i had asked her for a bag and she said “you can’t carry them in that bag you have right there?”, and i politely said, No it would be heavy and she kind of snorted.. as i was walking out i said “have a good day!” and she said “you too.. and don’t come back”it was an older elderly lady.

Delivered gently used clothing and household items. They have a wide variety of goods.

Wanted to buy some things I saw in the window. Quite a few things. Such beautiful selections, however I just waited for 20 minutes out in the cold with my service dog after asking twice for them to unlock the wheelchair accessible entrance. A pedestrian even went inside to ask again for me as they saw how long I was waiting. Extremely dissatisfied, disappointed and feeling discriminated against. I just ended up leaving as I was too upset to have to ask AGAIN.

Decent floor plan. Though no toys, only collector dolls. Went for a stuffy for my dog, that my kid fell in love with. Sadly will have to shop at the next store.

More people should donate here. This is a proper goodwill thrift store mostly run by volunteers and a few dedicated staff. Valu village and Salvation Army are for profit companies run by profiteers.The downside is the turnover in merchandise is slow and most of the items here have been on the shelves forever.
