Great Lakes Walk-in Clinic - Belleville

Small, clean, polite staff, but no doctor on site. What is the point of a doctorless walk-in clinic? At least I was in and out in a few minutes because there was no doctor.

My Mother who is 80 fills her prescriptions here and loves the friendly professional service and especially loves Sandra. She is always treated with respect and kindness. Thanks Sandra! ❤️

Not worth the time to go here. I waited over an hour only to be told by the onsite Dr. Nothing he could do for my knee. (It had swelled and was fluid filled, knew it was likely bursa and since it swelled and broke open knew it was synovial fluid) He insisted it was infected because the fluid was yellow (it was the normal color of synovial fluid) and there was no smell, no stiffness (I'm a retired nurse). He told me I had to go into emerge as it would be a surgical procedure, usually its just a needle aspiration done in the dr's office and a shot of cortisone or antibiotics. I wanted to avoid emerg as it wasn't really an emerg. Belleville emerge was likely that morning going to be a 20 hr wait, it was nuts, Trenton wasn't much better. Eventually ended up going to Campbellford, seen within an hour where it was aspirated and I was given some antibiotics and warned as usual it may not work and fluid may return........What is the point of a walk in clinic if all they do is refill prescriptions as other people were also sent away to emerg while I waited, I also heard them tell one woman they only do refills for 30 days at a time as the government wouldn't allow them to do longer periods. The clinic is clean, staff are polite but its useless don't even bother going!!!!!!

I went there couple months ago when i was 2 month pregnant to get referral for OB. Dr said he doesn’t do anything regarding pregnancy and referral. He kept insisted to reach out my family doctor. My family doctor is in Toronto and it was hard for me to travel there to get just referral. This dr didn’t care and he was hurry to leave. Very disappointed for lacking of help.And couple days ago I had sore throat and pink eye that I need to see dr. In Belleville there aren’t many choices to choose to see dr. I had to go here again. After over an hour waiting, I saw the dr again and he questioned many things regarding my symptoms. I felt he only wanted to know what he needs not my story behind regarding my symptoms or how I feel. And then he said 1. He doesn’t treat pregnant ppl and he didn’t do any prescriptions also he doesn’t have eye check kit so there is nothing he can do. He told me to got Trenton hospital to get treated.I was so mad that I wanted to yell him but my throat was too hurt to do that.First of all, if he can’t do anything with pregnant ppl then PUT SIGN IN THE OFFICE so that ppl don’t wait for nothing. I saw many reviews from this place said he doesn’t do treatment under 3 years old or he doesn’t do referral stuff. What kind of doctor he is that he is so under qualified in many occasions???I went to Trenton hospital and explained what happened here. Everyone nurse and doc said that is so weird and shake their head.So disappointed that doc , please don’t even take a chance.

Part 2 of my review of Great Lakes Walk-in ClinicsArrived at this clinic at 4:50 pm in hopes of seeing the in person doctor. There were about 8 people in the waiting room. We were told that registration would start at 5:00pm. This clinic is very unprofessional to say the least. The triage person and I say person, as there was no indication of her qualifications to even triage anyone, had huge false eyelashes, inch long coffin nails and ripped jeans. She then proceeded to turn away several patients as she stated the doctor only sees certain types of patients in the clinic.My turn..... when I told her of my reason for being there, she told me my issues were due to my underlying condition and there was nothing the doctor could do for me. Again, what qualified her to diagnose my issue??? Now I will, in turn, clog up our emergency system so that I can actually see a physician in person. What a waste of time going to both of these clinics today. (part 1 was Trenton)

Went to the clinic provided the reception with my symptoms, after waiting 2 hours was told they could not do anything for me, I needed to go to the hospital, in the meantime they were letting people in who came after me. The place is clean, nice that they have wheel chair accessible washroom. Huge infection control issues, the paper towel roll was sitting on top of the paper towel holder. Tried inserting and cut myself on the holder. The soap dispenser does not work and I have weak hands, they need to get automatic dispenser. Toilet paper organizer was noted next to the toilet on the floor, very open, anyone that urinate and splashes urine, and the urine will be all over the supposely clean toilet paper rolls. The toilet paper holder/organizer needs to be placed in another location or individual wrapped so they do not get contaminated.

i visited to this clinic and i have a insurance from college so firstly i paid in clinic and when i applied for my claim so they asked me for invoice and when i talked to clinic for invoice they didn’t give me anything. Now i am in trouble how i can get my claim because clinic is not giving me invoice and invoice is muct for getting claim.

Terrible experience, been using walk-in clinics for years as no family doctor. The doctor can only treat minor ailments, cuts and bruises. Any thing that requires an actual doctor he will try and avoid treatment and recommend you get a family doctor. Don't waste your time here.

Unless you have a family doctor *snort* this is the only doctor you can see in Belleville without going to the emergency room. I need a gynecologist, so I came here for a referral. I was informed the doctor doesn't do referrals. I'm not sure what value there is in having a doctor who doesn't provide referrals to those without a family doctor, but I'm sure he can prescribe you some cream for that rash or something. I never saw the actual doctor, I was turned away before that happened.Good luck. Consider leaving this entire area, because the healthcare system here is getting worse every year, and you will inevitably find yourself unable to receive care when you need it.

They do not treat children seen under 3 however don’t advertise that fact anywhere so if you’re a parent struggling to get your sick baby healthcare- look elsewhere!I walked in with my noticeably ill 19 month old child and was turned away because “they don’t see anyone under three”. Our healthcare system is in complete shambles.
