To make our home more energy efficient, five old skylights (30”x30”) were removed from our living room ceiling. After the insulation was applied, we began the task of receiving multiple estimates for framing and drywalling the skylight cavities, making us aware of the wide range of service and discrepancies in market pricing. In contacting CommonWealth Renovations, owner Rashard was very informative, professional and personable while reviewing the project and provided a reasonable estimate, which we accepted.Once the work began, we realized finding CommonWealth Renovations was a blessing. Rashard and his team did excellent work framing, drywalling and finishing the surface to ensure the ceiling was smooth and blemish free while thoroughly cleaning the work area after each phase. They were kind and respectful of our request to wear face masks in a home immune-compromised people live. Rashard worked with us to accommodate our complicated schedule and ensured the job was done to our satisfaction, with the final result being amazing! We feel confident that we found quality work at a fair price with a company we can be happy using in the future.

We just completed a main washroom renovation with Rashard and we are very happy with the result. He is pleasant, honest, trustworthy and does excellent work. It took a lot longer than we had hoped because once the walls were opened up it became clear that many more repairs were required. I had Rashard do work on my house and business and he was very professional and responsive to my inquires. There was a lot of work and he completed each job in an orderly manner. He built stairs on the outside to the second floor and he put in a new entrance and installed the door. He also did two bathroom renovations. He painted the exterior of the house and the exterior and interior of the business. There were a few issues but Rashard always dealt with them promptly and professionally . I recommend him to my mother and she had two bathrooms renovated also., Rashard is who I call if I need any work done.

The BBB Reviews were encouraging, Quote was detailed with moderate pricing, Professionalism - open to communication, kind and considerate, Expert Craftsmanship was evident with design and suggestions for revision, explaining what can and cannot be done. The owner directed and supervised his staff politely and with clarity. During the construction process we realized some revisions were needed from the original plan which was then thoroughly discussed and implemented. This flexibility was greatly appreciated. We contacted Commonwealth to quote us on a fence project and he over delivered on what he had quoted.Commonwealth is very easy to work with. They get back to you right away. They inform you of any changes to the project and have a great craftsmanship. I contacted CW Renovations to complete a privacy fence after a landscape company I had employed was unable to complete the fence, after removing the old fence. I waited patiently the entire summer to have my open backyard enclosed from the backlane and still could not get a date of when the fence would be constructed. Because of security issues, and not getting a date from this same landscale company, I decided to initiate finding, on my own, a construction company to complete a new fence.I had contacted a total of 12 Construction companies, leaving voice messages, emails and online requests. I hired Commonwealth Renovations to update the 1953 bungalow I purchased in 2021. They did it all including: refinishing original hardwood, installing engineered hardwood, interior and exterior paint, egress window installation, full kitchen renovation, full bathroom renovation, full basement renovation, fireplace mantle install, and an absolutely wonderful front deck. They are returning this summer to install a back entrance in the spare room that will walk out onto a back deck. Rashard and his team are extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and efficient.

We were in need of a new fence and gates on our property. Rashard was very helpful in the design process and made sure to have my input throughout the process. They did amazing work and I’m so happy with their craftsmanship.

Rashard and Brendon were awesome to work with! From first contact for a quote, through completion of job/s, Rashard was a pleasure and truly stood out from others. I had a few different contractors this season for a variety of jobs and came across Commonwealth near the end of the season- if it had been sooner I would have had all jobs done with Commonwealth as they do everything and would have been alot smoother going! (as with the other companies I experienced alot of delays, poor communication, messy site left etc) With Commonwealth, I had a fence and gate done and was very impressed. I kept adding on extra jobs including some landscaping, a paver stone path and a planter box, which were all well completed in impressive time. Very professional, excellent communication, efficient, clean and ensured I was totally satisfied. I plan to do some bathroom/home renos this winter and will be working with Commonwealth.
