Behavioural Health Care

Dr. Bannerman has very poor rapport building skills. I went to see her for a WCB claim. When I said I wanted to change providers because I didn’t feel like it was a good fit she cleared me for work instead. I Have chronic pain due to a car accident which I was seeking medical help for. She made me believe that the pain was solely psychological. If I had listened to her I would not have received the medical treatment that I needed. She made me feel like there was nothing I can do for my condition and seemed surprised when a medical doctor told me otherwise. She needs to understand that she is not a medical doctor and should encourage those who need medical treatment to seek that treatment. Another psychologist that I was seeing did not have good things to say about her. They expressed that she will do whatever WCB wants and clear people for work. If it’s a WCB claim I would ask for a different psychologist.
