Whistler Rides

DO NOT book through whistler rides! Upon arriving for our shuttle, we found that the bus driver did not have our names on his list, nor the names of two other passengers who had also booked through whistler rides. We were charged, our tickets had been sent, and when I tried to call the number on our tickets for help, there was so response. Not only were we charged for our tickets, but also an extra $22 fee deemed a one way fee." This is a scam

Do not book with this company, I would give zero stars if it was an option. I booked a private shuttle almost 2 weeks in advance. When I called to confirm my booking 3 days out, I was hung up on several times. I tried calling, texting and emailing and still nothing. Finally a day before the pickup date I received a call from possibly the owner, I'm still not sure, who told me my request got lost (even though they'd confirmed my reservation and taken my credit card details) and they were no longer able to take us. After a candid discussion he told me not to worry, he would find someone and they would make it work.On the day when the driver finally did arrive he was extremely rude, demanded that I pay him cash and when I told him I was paying by credit card he mumbled some sort of insult under his breath. The next day I got my invoice from the company and they had almost charged me double my original quoted price. When I tried to contact them no one answered. After I continued to badger them someone finally got back to me and told me I was lucky they even took my booking and that they bent over backwards to make this happen and because they had to get a driver last minute I was charged more.This is insane to me because THEY are the ones who confirmed my trip and then the day before told me they had no record of it even though they had issued me a quote, taken my credit card details and confirmed the pickup location... Not only was the customer service with the company atrocious, but they overcharged me without saying anything. I've tried to contact the manager to be issued a refund for the overcharge but it's been a week and a half and still, crickets.Pay the extra money and book with a company who will (A) show up, (B) charge you your quoted amount and (C) have a shred of customer service.

We booked with them before realizing that if our flights were late we would miss it. We called withing the hour of booking to get a refund and they refused. Said we'd have to get a store credit (we live in Winnipeg this is of no use to us) they had no later options to book. So we ended up having to booked another one a day earlier. The driver texted us to ask if we were still coming and we responded by saying yes. The next day he never showed up and never told us he wasn't coming. A few minutes after departure time we ran to another bus driver from another company and asked if we may be on the list. He explained that our ride was cancelled and he was willing to give us a ride. We were almost stranded at 7pm with no place to go!

0 Stars is a more accurate rating.If i were to choose between never visiting Whistler or traveling with this company, well then, I would have to go with not visiting Whistler. Not only was the bus overcrowded on my journey down but the bus is either too hot or too cold. Safety, comfort and customer service is something this company lacks in its entirety. When booking my return ticket I never received any confirmation from this company. When I tried to solve this issue with one of their employees I was told that I am lying"

I would give zero stars if I could. Please do not use this company. I booked a one-way ride with them for the afternoon because I was cycling up from Vancouver. I got up at 4:30AM to make sure I would be there in time for the bus, which I was. But the bus never showed up. Apparently it was not available". Translation: they didn't feel like sending it for just one person. The operator gave me a choice: wait several hours for another one or get a refund. Luckily Epic Rides came to the rescue and they were fabulous. Apparently this happens all the time. Whistler Rides is a scam. They charged me $42 for a one-way ticket. Then a few months later they contacted me and offered me a refund and extra vouchers if I would take this review down and replace it with a five-star review instead.DO NOT HIRE THEM."

Booked multiple times with the company. Every time my bus has been cancelled last minute (3hrs before today so I had to switch to a bus an hr earlier with a different company) or was switched to a different service making my transit connections more difficult)They seem to some how combine terrible customer service with higher prices than anyone else.

Booked tickets with them for a trip on September 16. The bus didn't show up to pick us up. We were at the stop 30 minutes before the purported departure time and the alternative company we booked with last-minute departed 90 minutes after, and we saw no sign of Whistler Rides the whole time.They didn't pick up their phone, they haven't answered their emails, their voicemail only seems to hold one message at a time. I doubt we're ever getting a refund. Super unprofessional, never booking with them again. Squamish Connector was great, though; Whistler Rides is a scam but at least their competition is competent!

BEWARE. Something going on here which is not entirely right. We booked 3 one-way tickets with a $50 additional supplement charge for one way tickets !! at 8.00am to Whistler from Vancouver and the bus never showed up. Other bus drivers from different companies chuckled and tutted knowingly at this and said it happens all the time with Whistler Rides. The money has not been refunded since Dee McCurran agreed on line that it was the driver's fault that we were left stranded and stated that she would pass it to accounts". This never happened. Not sure whether this is fraud or theft? I continue to waste time trying to get my $145 back."

The WORST shuttle company on the Sea To Sky highway. I showed up 10-15 minutes early for my bus (which was pre-booked) in the freezing cold over Christmas holidays to find out that it had left without me. Then I spent weeks trying to get my ticket refunded but they told me that it wouldn't be possible because sometimes we leave early" even though they know more customers have yet to arrive. What is the point of a departure time if the bus leaves 20 minutes early?! The customer service rep

We were scheduled for the 8:30AM bus to Vancouver and only found out through another pair waiting that the bus broke down at the main village—was told that they would be starting up the bus in a half hour but it never arrived. We finally called them and they told us that we would be put on the 11:30AM bus. I would suggest that Whistler Rides do a more efficient job with their customer service. We didn’t receive any phone call, email, or updates on their website/social media platform of the delay. They need a better way to keep in contact with their passengers.Update: Bus arrived for the 11:30AM pick up and we were told that there would be no room for our luggage/ gear. Our group was squished in the bus with bags on our laps and gear squished down the middle of the bus aisle. Not the driver’s fault because he was also frustrated. Whistler Rides need to address their poor scheduling/ lack of communication with their drivers and passengers. We lost a whole morning of our day waiting around in the cold.
