Beautiful salon, wonderful, welcoming staff and very experienced stylists!

Love the way DC Aveda pampers their customers and provides a truly enjoyable experience! From their custom tea to the hot towel and cream service they offer to each customer, this is my favourite place to get my hair done!

I asked for a proper shaping as I had had a bad cut about 2 months ago, the stylist appeared to get it and explained what she would do. The top of my hair had been cut too short and appeared like a cap and not gradually blending into the lengths of a layered bob. After cutting and texturizing, my cut looks as bad or worse than the previous cut. Again I have a short heavy cap and a drop down to the bottom length with no real connection or flow as a layered bob should have. I can now spend the summer growing it out to where it was before she started. What is so hard about getting a good layered bob?

I have high expectations for where I get my hair done... Daniel Christopher Salon south has always exceeded my expectations, I’ve been to a number of different stylists at their salon and the quality is not only consistent, but also constantly going beyond my expectations! This new east location is beyond... Modern, forward-vision, impressive, welcoming — I love their “living-wall” of plants in their hair wash area. You can expect the same dynamic quality and service continued without missing a beat... so glad to see a new east end location!

Stylist" Christopher Pritchard is not somebody I can recommend .The whole salon gives off a very pretentious vibe and Christopher loves to talk about himself non stop while majorly exaggerating his personal achievements

my appointment for a simple haircut/buzz cut that should’ve took less than an hour I ended up having to pay nearly $60.00 for a damn near 2 hour hair/buzzcut, the guy I asked him to stop blending and to simply shave to the exact picture of reference I shown him and he finally after an hour admitted to quote ‘ I can’t do that style your hair isn’t long enough’ yeah bud after an hour of you blending from you shaving improperly; that happens. After all was said and done I paid the price and left the place with hair shavings still on my neck and all over my white shoes and very disappointed. I felt like all he wanted to do was talk about himself and focus less on what I wanted for an end result.

Awesome service! Staff is professional, polite, and ensures that you’re satisfied. Salon is also very nice and clean. I’ve been to a couple other higher end salons in town and Daniel Christopher would be my favourite! I’ve been here a few times and every visit has been perfect.

I asked for a pretty basic haircut (the stylist was a Level 3) and the person just did not deliver at all what I asked for (longer layers at the back and shorter at the front). My chair was turned to the side the whole time so I wasn’t able to see what was going on. My hair was cut all one equal length and cut way shorter than what was agreed at the beginning. Just upsetting since you pay 60+$ for a haircut and you don’t get what you ask for. The salon was cute and clean so that’s good, and everyone was nice

I've always had a great experience coming here. I don't even have a preferred hairdresser - just whoever is available and I'm never disappointed :)So glad they moved from the Grasslands location! I probably wouldn't be coming here otherwise.

I'm using my husband's account to rate this. I came in with my daughter for a short notice haircut. The staff was so friendly and both my daughter and I left extremely satisfied. Payton listened to what I wanted and treated me beautifully. My daughter had a gentleman do her hair that taught her how to style it after. Just a fantastic experience. Thank you.
