UFC GYM Coquitlam

I cancelled my son's membership in November and just realized they have been charging me twice a month for it still ever since (now April). This is not the first problem I have had with this gym in regard to $money$. Even when you leave they keep charging you! How can that happen???? Our entire family of 5 used to train here regularly... and now none of us do... for reasons.

Amazing gym! Just started here recently and wanted to try it out fully before I committed.Taras set me up with a pass to test it out for quite a while until I was comfortable and I fell In love with the unlimited classes.Nabil signed me up once I was ready and he was so helpful! I forgot my gloves that day and said I could borrow some whenever.The people are great, the facility is clean and has all the equipment you need for a killer workout.

AVOID AT ALL COST.They lie to you into a contract that is extremely difficult to get out of. Cancellations are a nightmare. They keep telling you to call the “head office” who never answers and never calls you back. After 2 months, when you finally manage to cancel your membership, THEY KEEP CHARGING YOUR CARD !The workouts a pretty good, but they are not worth the headache.

Started the gym in September, had a fantastic first couple free sessions. Nabil set me up with a great personal trainer.Everyone was very knowledgeable and encouraging. Their staff isn't judgemental about your fitness level, and the classes are catered to the general classes skill level. The equipment and entire gym are kept in very good condition, looking new.

I had to cancel my credit card because they kept charging me for months after I cancelled my kid's membership. I called them to speak with them about it but they had no interest in resolving the situation. It is a fun place to work out and the coaches are great but the management is absolutely unbelievable and simply all about their bottom line. The turnover for both employees and members is higher than anything I have ever witnessed, obviously for reasons.

Great coaches and a very clean gym. Why a 2 star review then? It seems that this place hires only scammers as their customer service representatives. Due to certain circumstances, I had to cancel my membership before my 12 month ended. However, when I went to go speak with one of the sales, Keivan, he told me to get a plane ticket as proof that I won't be living here anymore. To confirm this, I asked a coach if this was true, and he did. The next day, Keivan tells me that I couldn't use a plane ticket as proof and I needed a rental agreement or something of the sort. I was skeptical, so asked for a manager's number. When I called and asked what I needed to show to cancel my membership, the representative told me I needed a plane ticket, so I told him Keivan said I needed something else. Suddenly this guy changes stories and goes along with Keivan's story and asks for an address. When I said i was gonna go through my phone, he hangs up. I tried calling back but nobody picks up. So I reluctantly go back, but I happen to have a photo of a deposit agreement. But when I go to show Keivan, he's having a conversation with another client. He drags it on and on until I decide to leave. Coincidentally"

I've been with this gym for a little over a year. When I had first started, the quality of coaching was very high and elite. I really learnt a lot about martial arts and fitness in general. It was a good experience. As time passed on, a lot of the trainers had quit. There was more pressure for the workers to make sales and get high numbers of new memberships. I felt like every time I went in there, I was also being asked about my contacts and if I had any friends who wanted to join. This 100% is NOT the employees fault, but the owners of the business. They put way too much pressure on the coaches and workers to make a certain quota or else they are at the risk of losing their jobs. It shows on the employees faces. All the good coaches quit. A lot of people were cancelling their memberships as well. There is obviously a reason for it. I stayed with the gym because of the relationships and connections I made there, but now its a completely different gym. I just cancelled my membership today. I hope who ever runs the company reads this, because this is some very constructive criticism that they should take to heart if they want to maintain any sort of business in the future. If you have high numbers AND high turnover rates of clients, its not a good thing... just saying fix your business model... quality over quantity

Terrible gym management, lack of customer care/support. They will try to hold you on a year contract in which your are locked in and cannot cancel. The only way to cancel is to relocate or if you sustain a injury that lasts the entire duration of your contract, otherwise they will continue to bill you NO MATTER WHAT. DO NOT SIGN UP!!! This gym is not worth it. Staff and management have 0 care for their customers and are only interested in holding you to a contract.

DO NOT EVER GO HERE! Spend your money elsewhere.I signed up for a month-to-month membership with this gym in August because I wanted to tryout boxing. I was told by one of their staff that they don't have any trial packages or drop-in sessions, and tricked me into buying a full membership with them. After almost a month (which btw is as expensive as yoga studios), I realized I could not afford paying for it; so I called them to cancel my membership and they said I had to do it in person: so I went to the front desk in person 2 days later in September.One of their staff (who btw is a great sales guy with awesome customer service, I must say) gave me a ONE MONTH FREE" offer after I told him I wanted to cancel because of financial issues; saying to me "we look after our gym-family

My husband has been with the gym since day one, and the growth that that has happened with the gym in the last couple of years has really put this place on the map! It’s established amazing coaches, wonderful front desk staff, and an atmosphere of success.Both my daughters have been taking classes for a few months now and we are so thankful for the knowledge the many coaches have working with them. The foundation and respect that is being instilled with our kids is really forming roots for their future.Whether the coaches are working with an experienced fighter like my husband, or growing little fighters in my daughters, they cater to what is required per participant.We are proud to be part of the UFC family!
