My external hard drive was not accessible and I had tried a few things but could not access my data. I came across this business online and thought I'd give it a try. I had fill out forms online, create an account and pay a $95 just to submit my case. It doesn't say if the fee is for recovering data or just assessment. I thought it was the fee to recover data. Later I received an email with a few quotes ranging from $1500-$3000. I could not afford that and frankly thought it was very overpriced. I told them that i can't afford this and to return my hardware. Even though I had dropped off the hardware in their location in Mississauga, I was told to pick it up from a location in Toronto more than half an hour away. When I asked about the $95 charge, they told me that's the fee for assessment and is not refundable if you chose to decline the quotes. Not a good experience at all. The online forms and procedures for submitting your case are not very clear and straight forward.
