Stopped in for sliced oat bread from the bakery & also walked out with a slice of my wife's favorite childhood dessert - Chocolate Cake w/7-minute frosting. She was surprised to see it in a restaurant - it was equally delicious as our family recipe! Workers were friendly & prompt.

Wow loved that restaurant. Very friendly staff that goes out of their way to make you happy. My pizza was awesome and my wife’s banana split was yummy! Bakery inside was also a plus. Definitely stop and try it out. Thank you!

The Cedar House is a planned stop on every trip to Cape Breton, even if we have to detour out of the way! Have been going for years and I'm never disappointed in the food, service or baked treats to-go. Their chocolate cake with boiled icing is just as good as grandma made it, expect they let you have a bigger slice! On our visit in September they had changed the menu and I was sad to see the French Dip sandwich, my all time fav, was gone. However, I found something just as delicious to replace it. Be sure to grad some Aussie cookies for the road. You won't regret it!

Very good dinner. We were all happy with our meals. The spinach salad was very good! Two of us had room for dessert, and we popped by the next day for cinnamon rolls, which have a great buttercream frosting.

Cape Breton classic, and the bakery is amazing too, the chocolate cake with boiled icing is a must, traditional cooking and baking. The Cedar house is a Cape Breton treasure, best scones on the Island

We had a veggie pizza and fish and chips. The fish was amazing, large thick pieces and beautifully crispy. The pizza was a delicious homestyle pizza with thin crust and thick outer crust that was jut the right amount of crisp. Definitely will stop on our travels again.

Food is great. Portions ok. Staff are very friendly. Wait time on take out orders are slow. Expect to wait an extra 15-20 min in restraunt for take out.

Great atmosphere and excellent food. The service was great, although it took a little bit. If you're in the area it's an excellent visit. The waitress insisted on the Seafood Chowder, which was well founded. The Ceder burger was delightful as well.

Cedar House ! I love this place!! The food is great, the staff is terrific -- friendly and efficient, the kind of people who really go out of their way to greet you and take care of you! Cedar House is the best place around for 20 miles. Prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend the Cedar house.
