Simply put, this is one of the best places to get a mens haircut in Toronto without a second thought. Been going there now for 3 different owners and never had a bad cut or a cut I didn't like. Speaking portuguese helps to chat with them while they're cuting your hair, but it's not that necessary. You may end-up waiting inside for your turn (pre COVID-19 days), but it's always been worth it. Parking may be an issue at some times, but again, it's worth it without a doubt. To get the feeling of a professional experienced barber cut your hair or shave your face is just not found in many places these days. Always happy to greet you with a smile and a chat, this is where the real men go for a no nonsense, no gimmick haircut to make you feel and look good too, all at a very reasonable price as well. I sure hope these guys stay open for many more decades.

After dozens of bad haircuts for double to triple the price, I decided to go back to this old haunt. Just as I remember, the same barber and the same great haircut! I just need a standard short men's cut and it's the same every time. $25 with tip.

Traditional barber shop operated by a wonderful person. Clean, professional, and friendly. A haircut will run you $22 which is a terrific price given the ridiculous prices being charged by other places. The owner speaks English and Portuguese. If you happen to be a fan of S.L. Benfica then this definitely needs to be your barber. The barbershop is also located near some terrific bars and restaurants on College Street (College Falafel is just around the corner!) so you can get your hair cut and then enjoy the neighborhood.

The place is definitely busy; everytime I've visited, the waiting room has been full, or at least well occupied; and a business that is busy is usually a good sign.Located in an area with a concentration of the Portuguese community, service is provided in either English or Portuguese; with the majority of customers appearing to be most comfortable with Portuguese.The staff are both cheerful and well experienced (57 + years experience) ; this was one of the few times I've seen the competent use of a straight razor; a tool requiring skill to wield safely and effectively, but provides one of the best (if traditional") shaves possible.The storefront itself is somewhat older

Always a great experience here. Jack always remembers my cut. it's a simple Barber shop and with an authentic atmosphere. I appreciate the neighborhood feel with friends of the barber frequently stopping in to say hello.
