Amy captured our wedding at a cottage in Golden. Without having to go up to the top of kickinghorse, Amy was able to create stunning and dramatic photos from the village on the hill with the mountain and snow landscape. Could not have asked for better photos (which are now blown up in canvases and hanging on my wall). Photos from getting ready, having fun with bridal party, and the ceremony were all excellent. To top that off, Amy’s pricing was terrific and she knew just what to say to ensure we turned out our best in the photos (which is something we def needed!). Amy spent more time with us than I expected and was a complete pleasure to work with.Recommend all the way!

Amy is so wonderful to work with! She captured our engagement and wedding photos, and they are all stunning! Amy has no problems hiking and getting down to get that great shot, which makes her an amazing photographer. She answered all questions or concerns I had quickly and truly made my wedding day worry free. We have such beautiful memories captured by this wonderful woman!

I wasn't even sure I wanted to spend the money on a photographer for a small wedding but I am SO glad that I did. Amy was the most amazing photographer I could have imagined. She was so much fun to have as part of our day, and convinced us to take photos I would have never thought of but they turned out amazing. I didn't cry on my wedding day but I cried when I saw my photos. She was also very quick at getting them done. I was expecting to wait at least a few weeks but had then in just over a week. I would recommend her to anyone needing photos and would use her for anything/everything

Looking for a photographer for our Golden wedding wasn't an easy task. Reason being we weren't satisfied with those that we had already met with and then we came across ABarrett Photography. Without actually meeting Amy in person we committed to engagement photos (taken while boarding on Kicking Horse) and to capture our big day May 20, 2017 @ Hillside Lodge & Chalets. We weren't exactly comfortable with having our photos taken and wanted to have moments captured naturally. Mission accomplished. Amy captured our day and the special moments amongst our guests, the smiles, the little things that mean the most. She was familiar with the area and her suggestions were the best. We got married in the mountains and that is evident in our photos. If you're on the fence and looking for an easy going, adventurous, queen of the the Golden outdoor perfect picture spots, while remaining professional and efficient throughout. Amy is your lady! I have so many great things to say about Amy. The wedding photos she took for us were amazing and everything I asked for but beyond that just having her around was wonderful. My family is still talking about how amazing she was on the day and my husband and I felt so comfortable having her take our photos. I highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

Where do I begin in terms of how perfect it was to work with Amy as our photographer for our ski wedding at Kicking Horse?! As I look through all the photos to figure out which ones to print as a thank you to family and guests and for us, I am blown away by how perfectly she captured our outdoor ceremony at Eagle Eye, the ski down with 45 of our guests (not an easy feat!), and the reception at White Tooth Grill.But even more importantly, as someone that is not the most comfortable with being photographed, Amy made the entire experience feel so natural! It felt more like she was our friend and was so fun to work with!And as avid skiers, the icing on the cake for us was the fact that Amy is former ski patroller who definitely knows her way around the mountain! We opted to use our engagement session 2 days before the wedding to have Amy get some incredible shots of us skiing. This was a highlight for us and we are so grateful for her expertise both as a skier and a photographer!Lydia & Andy

We hired Amy to do photos for our business and she was a delight to work with. She did wonderful head shots and was creative with the way she captured our space and the work we do. Highly recommend her.

Super unprofessional experience with this photographer. Very disappointed in our wedding photos. I truly regret hiring her.ADDED AFTER HER REPLY Feb 12/23:I stand by my review 110%. You are so unprofessional and an absolute JOKE! Regardless of the boil I had on my wedding day, your photography/editing “skills” are awful and outdated. You were never told that we both always look awkward in photos, none of my friends said that at all! Our engagement photos that were NOT done by you (thank god) were beautiful. It was 2022, many people also have a videographer, why were you surprised? I knew by your attitude that you were not impressed that they were there and you continue to put blame on them. Excuse me, but I did not party for two days before my wedding? I was working hard to set up my beautiful day. “Take it easy on the mimosas” Are you serious? The fact that you are trying to say I was drunk on my wedding day is a straight up LIE! And you’re trying to say I’m being slanderous? My wedding video by NelsonNorthFilms turned out AMAZING!! And I’m so happy that I had them there because your services and attitude were terrible! Everyone that has seen my photos agree. I should have hired an out of town photographer and paid for the travel. Maybe then I would have gotten pictures that weren’t blurry, eyes closed, weird angles and things cut off. Maybe I would have gotten the pictures I wanted and deserved. As I already said, I truly regret hiring her!
