Restaurant Hélicoptère
Quaint little restaurant with extremely delicious high end food. One of the things I really appreciated was the use acoustic panels in the restaurant. Even though it’s somewhat tight and bustling, I was still able to hear my dinner partner without any issues.

Omg what adventure if I could put more stars for sure I will put 10! What an amazing time, we tried the tasting menu an all the dishes where a new experience, a different favor and an unique taste! I loved everything: the service, the atmosphere.... And even better the cocktails were amazing what a delightful suprise! You can feeI that the food was prepared with care and attention to details! I am expecting to return very soon! Highly recommend it!

We wanted to go to a nice restaurant during our stay in Montreal and this one was absolutely fantastic.We all decided to do the course, with 2 of us doing the wine pairing, which was fantastic.The beef tartare was the highlight for myself, with the asparagus and mushrooms as a close second. But every single dish was absolutely fantastic and imaginative.Our sever was also so great, making sure that my allergy restrictions were met and taken care of, as well as providing some amazing background to the dishes we were about to eat and the wine pairings that he provided with them.Highly recommend going here if you're in Montreal. I will definitely be going back to taste their other offerings

Very good food. Tasting menu was worth it as it covers all flavor buckets. Things to note: location is a bit of a slow area with not much around it and the service was a little slow. Must try: The mushroom and whipped feta dish was phenomenal.

I would recommend this restaurant! We ordered the tasting menu and there were ten courses, each course was explained to us in detail and the waiters were very friendly. The meals were great, if you don't know what to order I highly recommend the tasting menu, you won't be disappointed!

I don’t write reviews… ever. But this one deserves all praises imaginable. First off, the tasting menu was executed to perfection. A light start followed by banger after banger. Sebastien, our waiter, put on a master-class of service. Not only with us, but with every table around us. Patient, knowledgeable, funny, generous and a moustache that only a chosen few can pull off. The wine pairing put this experience over the top. $70 for a tasting menu of that calibre is simply unbeatable. Chapeau!

Exceptional flavor combinations! Very cute and understated decor and friendly, professional service. We had the tasting menu and it included 9 dishes for 70 dollars!! I think that was a good deal. The stand outs for me were the beef tartare with lingonberry, oyster mushroom with smoked feta cream, and the Nordic shrimp. Portions each are on the smaller side, but overall the tasting menu is filling. The potato cappelletti in the second service was quite filling and got us full before the main lamb sausage.

Really enjoyable first experience at Helicoptère! The food is well-plated, the flavours are very good (although not every dish will give you the wow factor), the service is warm and very attentive, you can really feel the team supporting each other and clearly the staff loves their job. This made for an awesome eating experience overall. I recommend the tasting menu, and in particular the stand out dishes were the Tartare, the mushroom dish and the dessert. Fans of rich and decadent meats will also be well-served by the lamb dish!Now that isn’t to say everything was perfect:- the seating isn’t the most comfortable for the type of establishment. This is a very small detail admittedly.- some dishes didn’t have any wow factor in my opinion. We had the tasting menu, and the Brussels sprout dish in particular stands out in a negative light compared to other dishes. Again, a very small detail.Overall: the reason I give this restaurant 5 stars is because of the value it offers for the price paid! Helicoptère fills a gap in the high-end tasting menu offerings in this city by offering what I would call a “casual high end experience” with, importantly, a “casual price tag”. 10 dishes for 70$ is hard to beat given the ingredients used and the quality of the service. I would (and will) definitely visit Helicoptère again!

This is a cute little neighborhood restaurant. We chose this restaurant for our last dinner in Montreal. I looked over the menu before booking and loved all the vegetable options on their menu. After traveling for a while, I was so happy to find a restaurant with lighter options. Food was really good. Flavours were unique and highlighted the ingredients used. Portions are small so it allowed us to order lots of dishes to try without getting overly full.

Cozy local restaurant worth discovering if you are looking to try new things!Great mocktails (very well priced compared to other locations) and tasty custom-made cocktails! Every dish has its own little uniqueness and is super flavourful! We took the Oysters, Challah, Pain au Levain, Carrots, Cavatelli, Porc and Chou - and every dish was greatly executed and tasted very good! They also have a tasting menu (65$).We recommend this place!
