Nice to have a drive thru second cup still standing but I don’t go out of my way to come here.Me and my friend came to pass time while waiting for an appointment and ordered some tea lattes. The service was super slow and we had to wait a long time as they were busy servicing the drive thru.The seats have a lot of rips in them and it looks like it’s not maintained well.It is super cozy and warm feeling, and has a lot of seating.

The latte is quite strong so if you’re getting oat milk, perhaps ask for a bit extra. quiet - nice to have a coffee before science world but note that there’s no food or drink allowed! lots of non dairy milk substitutions and drink options! kind staff!

Coffee is always great! Clean and nice atmosphere. However, I ordered their ginger cookie which is usually soft, so I think the one I had was expired. It was hard as a rock, stale just crumbled. I went up and mentioned it and she only offered to warm it up, but I explained that it won’t do anything because it just crumbles to dust. She just said “sorry about that” and walked away. Didn’t offer me anything else in exchange or a refund. It wasn’t busy either, I was the only person sitting inside and drive thru was empty. So it’s not like she was too busy to offer me anything else. I threw out the cookie.

New Corporate came here some time ago and left with it running much as it has. I have been coming here for years. Great friendly and efficient ladies in charge, good product. The customer space is kept clean by staff but is NOT maintained by the owners. Vinyl side chairs are ripped with huge holes in them and the foam hanging out. In fairness some some are taped up w coloured duct tape. .An optical disaster that Starbucks would never stand for. That’s the difference between 2 Cup and SB.

I had one of the most disgusting thing happen to me at this 2nd cup location, 11128 142 st. This was around 6 pm on December 15th 2022. My sister and I entered the 2nd cup, ordered a smoothie drink, toasted cream cheese bagel and a small hot chocolate. I paid for the smoothie and bagel as a separate order from the hot chocolate because she wouldn't add them together for some reason. She finished the drinks first, then took the bagel out of the oven. Was spreading the cream cheese onto the bagel with a butter knife, dropped the knife onto the dirty floor , bent to pick it up, stayed bent for a bit and pretends to switch it out for a new one. Then pops back up and puts the dirty knife back into the cream cheese container. I asked her if that's the same knife she dropped on the ground she said yes. I said I didn't want that bagel, she then continued to spread the cheese on and brought it to the till. I told her that's very unsanitary and asked what made her use the same kife that was on the dirty floor.. She had a very dismissive tone and gave me a rehersed apology for trying to serve me a nasty floor made cream cheese bagel. She then said don't worry about it and then laughed. I left with my paid smoothly and threw it out a few blocks down. I am appalled that one of your employees thinks it's ok to not follow adequate hygiene protocols for food safety and handling. My question is what else does she do if she can freely do that infront of a paying customer. She told me her name was Sydney and the managers name is Valerie.

I still go out of my way to find 2nd cups across Edmonton but fortunately, this one is close to home and usually on my way somewhere. It's been decades since I tried their white choc late and I still love it. I also find their ground espresso beans are best for the type of coffee maker I have a home.

Fast and friendly service! Ambient, comfortable interior. Prices are slightly higher than most cafes, particularly for the baked goods.My friends got a lavender matcha, an infuzer, vanilla bean frappucino, and a strawberry banana smoothie.Apparently the infuzer and vanilla bean frap are very good :-)Not too busy in the late mornings. There is no outdoor seating.

I really appreciate second cup because unlike starb*cks they don't use artificial flavor syrups for everything. Second cup uses real ingredients to flavor their specialty drinks. If you order a maple latte it's real maple, or the matcha is real. Good location to meet or work, not too loud.

Just a nice place to relax or meet a friend, very excellent and friendly staff, just hoping this location doesn't close like many others that I used to enjoy.
