We made a reservation for 10:30pm Saturday night. It was so good to know that La Notte was open until 2am, so there was really no rush. There is ample indoor seating and a beautiful terrace on Monkland. We opted to sit on the terrace and the slight cool breeze was in our favour. The menu was filled with authentic Italian dishes. Since we were a small group. We tried virtually everything on the menu.On the table we’re a few Italian oils, sauces and vinegars and a shaker of grated Parmesan, put ample amounts of grated Parmesan on the table and we are instant friends.Let’s talk about the pizza. Fresh crust, handmade sauce and lots of cheese. These pizzas looked homemade. Made with love and care and beautifully presented on a thin metal tray. I loved the four-cheese pizza the most. I think there was blue cheese in there. The taste was exquisite. The pastas were all nice, but the pesto pasta (sorry I don’t remember the actual Italian name) was my favourite. From the desserts I liked the nuttela crepes the best. There was a upbeat Miami ambience. When someone was celebrating their birthday. The lights went out for a few minutes, music was turned up and the staff came out with sparklers and fanfare. It made for a festive ambience. This place is really nice new treat on Monkland and just happens to be kosher as well, which makes me very happy.Definitely worth a try.

Lets start with the good:- The food was delicious. There was plenty of Risotto and plenty of Pasta in the dishes.- The decor is fresh and trendy. Neon signs are all the rage these days.- There were lots of vegetarian options, and it seemed that all the food choices were kosher.- The service was friendlyThe not so good:- It was REALLY expensive. For three people, the bill came to over $200.- There was no wine list, and the server had to bring out all the wine options individually. There was also no price associated with each, which left me to ask for the prices.- They added an 18% service charge to the bill automatically. Normally that is done for a large group, but this was done for just three people. All in all, if money is not an impedance, definitely try this spot out!

Bad experience. The food is way too pricey for what it is, nothing incredible, but decent.Service was awful. Even though the food arrived quickly, we had to wait for 45 minutes to get our bill, after we asked 3 times. Once we got it, we realized that they included the tip in the bill, leaving us no choice but to pay it. It was not mentioned anywhere on the menu. Was really excited about this new place, but I’m very disappointed.

We were seven for dinner. Three people got their food in a reasonable time. The other four waited and waited. I finally asked what’s going on, and a couple of minutes later food arrived for the other four people. Meanwhile, the three who had received their food were nearly finished. One pizza arrived almost completely burnt. I mentioned it to the bus boy and he said he would tell them at the back. Nobody came to speak to us about it. My dining companion was so hungry that she simply ate some of the almost completely burnt pizza out of desperation. Finally when we were paying the enormous bill, due to everything being very overpriced, I mentioned to the waitress that the pizza was so burnt and it was really wrong. She gave a ridiculous very lame excuse, “well all the pizzas come out of the oven like that because it’s very hot and the cheese gets very well done quickly.”Clearly, whoever is cooking the pizzas in the pizza oven does not know what he’s doing if every pizza is coming out burnt. I don’t mean scorch marks on the crust. I’m talking the cheese completely crusted over with burn marks. Dry, overcooked cheese so that you don’t even know it’s cheese. Even by Kosher standards this place is way over priced. I give it one star only because we were seated at the correct time for our reservation. But I’m telling you, never again.

I ordered food for a kosher Shiva, and all of the people raved about how wonderful the food was. Ordering was easy and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They offered help at a difficult time I highly recommend them. Thank you again.

We came as a big group. I waited almost 1h for my meal to come. People were getting their seconds. The waitress gave my plate to someone else who started eating from it and then took it back to give it to me! Then when I refuse to take it and asked for a new dish she gave me a look and I waiting 30 more minutes for a plate of pasta. I was so discussed by the service that I couldn’t even eat. Never coming back! In addition when we told them we were not happy with the service and did not want to pay the automatic charge of 18%, the owner screamed at us and said he will call the police! Excuse me? He screamed and told us to leave and never come back! Never ever again.

There are multiple fundamental problems with this restaurant. The staff were friendly but quite inexperienced, and in fact there was no cash register and only one pin-pad resulting in a cluster of me and my party trying to pay for our individual orders. The food was overpriced and under-portioned, and I left the building still hungry. It was my friend's birthday, and they attempted to sell us a cake from IGA for $100. My only good take of this place is the theme which was adequate to a younger demographic. If you actually enjoy dining out, do not go here.

3.5 stars. Not bad. But….Lots of opportunity for this place to be great. But missing on so many things. The upside:Penne vodka was good. Very tasty. The vibe is nice. Some opportunities for improvement:Mac and cheese was dry and there was no cheese inside. When we returned it the waitress actually said “there is cheese”. Totally disregarding or trying to understand. The “Greek salad” is in the picture. Lacks dressing, and almost no feta. The pizza is ok, sadly the mushrooms were from cans and you can taste it.

La Notte provides a memorable culinary experience in a charming setting. Its decor is inviting, setting the perfect stage for their standout dish: the poutine. With a homemade sauce offering a distinct and delightful taste, this poutine is a game-changer.The fabulous service from the attentive staff rounds out the remarkable experience at La Notte. Their hospitality elevates the dining experience, making this a must-visit destination. Looking forward to my next visit.
