Halifax Surf School (Surf Shop)

Getting the lessons arranged for me and two of my boys was super easy, texted all the details, making payment was super easy through e-transfer. Add to that we picked the perfect day for surfing, both my boys were getting up in their own by the end of the lesson, I needed a little more practice but hey...Seriously one of the best days ever, staff are super friendly, easy to work with and could not have asked for more enthusiasm or professionalism.

It was an amazing activity. The coaches are knowledgeable and kind. They are calm and encouraging while training the kids. The photographer is professional and sweet. She took amazing pictures of the kids surfing. The kids stayed after their private lesson to surf by themselves because they felt confident enough to do so alone. It was our first outdoor activity since we arrived to Halifax and we will be back before we leave. Thank you for the amazing experience and I highly recommend them

We had an absolutely fabulous day surfing and the crew at Halifax Surf School are so knowledgeable and they had us geared up and in the water in no time! Our instructor, Joshua, made our first attempt at surfing so much fun and he was full of encouragement and support! Can't wait to go back!

I signed up my 15 year old Grandson for a lesson. Everything from signup, email communications, directions, etc was clear, timely, and well put together. We arrived and the team quickly had him geared up and ready to go. I paid for photography (an extra $50) and it was well worth the money. Fortunately, my grandson was the only one in the class so he got a solo lesson :) According to my Grandson, the instructor was terrific. He had a great time and the lessons were invaluable. For $70 you get the lesson, wetsuit, board, and you can surf for as long as want. Win win win! Thank you Halifax Surf School. You made this kid's day!

My friend and I had our dream of surfing come true!!!! Our instructor Mark was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and made us feel like we really could do this. AND WE DID. I would highly recommend Mark and the Halifax Surf School.

Halifax Surf School is THE place to go for Surfing Lessons and Rentals!! Mark has the best gear - Quality Boards and Wetsuits for all abilities and sizes. We had a small group for our lesson with 2 instructors. You can get as much or as little help as you'd like. I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend. The beach is also the BEST! It's not rocky like Lawerencetown and is quite shallow which is great for beginners. Surf is fabulous. Thank you Mark and staff - Shout out to Anna who is super patient.

Great experience for our family. Instructors were great! Gear was good and the whole operation is well organized. Fair price for one hour lesson plus using the gear all day. I recommend doing a morning lesson so that kids can keep surfing in the afternoon.

We don't get to surf very often but when I come home, we make a point to rent some boards from Mark. My kids have taken lessons and really enjoyed it. Halifax Surf School is super to deal with and we have had a great experience each time.

Amazing experience with Halifax Surf School! The staff were all super helpful and friendly and fun. BIG SHOUTOUT TO QUINN who was my instructor and was very patient and kind to me (because I am a huge wimp and got scared in the water).There was just a bit of miscommunication on where we were to meet, but other than that no issues at all. The beach is crazy beautiful. The price is fantastic - totally worth it.
