Baby Prep™ Prenatal Sessions

Highly recommend this class for 1st time parents, you will learn so much more than what you read in books. Kathleen not only talked about what labor is going to look like, but she showed us what an expectant mother might go through. When she re-enacted the several stages of labor, with all the raw emotions and sounds, you could immediately see all the expectant fathers and even mothers in shock. At least now, I'll know what to expect during labor and can work to support my wife with the right tools and methods. He personal stories, really sheds light on topics that other instructors might not touch upon. Thank you once again Kathleen for preparing us for this amazing journey!

My husband and I took the baby prep course in July 2023 with the instructor and owner, Kathleen. Kathleen has a wealth of knowledge from multiple sources, as a labour and delivery nurse, a lactation consultant at BC children’s and a mother herself. She was able to use her experience and knowledge to create this program for parents to become comfortable with labour and delivery, postpartum care, lactation, and baby care. The confidence she was able to instil in myself and my partner is going to propel us into becoming parents. Kathleen’s caring and passionate demeanour allowed for the class to feel comfortable to not only form a community of people experiencing the same thing but also create a safe space to be be vulnerable and ask questions. Thank you Kathleen for an amazing experience, we highly recommend the class to all expecting parents.

100% all new parents should take this course. I recommend in-person as we can interact with other new parents and asks various questions. Kirstin was very patient, funny and informative! She provided us with many real-life examples! We definately feel more prepared and confident after taking the course!

This class was extremely helpful. I had taken a few other online classes but none compared with BabyPrep. Both instructors were very engaging and were able to pack a ton of content into a weekend course. My ObGyn recommends the class to all of her patients and I see why.

We just had our baby prep class with Kathleen and it was a great experience! She is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced, but also excellent in conveying information. There is a lot of topics to cover in just a few hours, and it is important for expecting parents to receive the information in a way that is easily understandable and not overwhelming. My husband and I are happy that we decided to take this class, because even though babies are born and likely to survive regardless, being aware of all the situations parents might find themselves in with their newborns can put their minds in peace and help them ease the way a little bit. Kathleen was exceptional! She left no stone unturned.Despite a few unexpected turns during the labour and birthing process, we never felt ill-equipped or lacking in knowledge—all due to Kathleen. Even the medical staff in the hospital were pleasantly surprised at how prepared we were for a certain situation… we had to give credit to Kathleen for foreseeing that particular situation and prepping us for it.It’s hard to see how expectant parent(s) can go through this process without receiving information and guidance from someone like Kathleen.You can’t go wrong with Baby Prep.

As a first time mother, I was quite nervous and had so many questions. The four classes we had over the course of four weeks (we chose to do online) was EXTREMELY helpful! The teachers/nurses were very informative, engaging, vulnerable and sincere. I can say with full confidence that I am no longer as nervous because I feel very well prepared! This was truly outstanding prenatal classes. The instructor (Kathleen!) was personable, hilarious and also genuine. She took something I was terrified of (birth!) and demystified it completely. She was approachable, and didn’t shy away from hard truths, or being direct. The class also was not just about labour and delivery and incorporated a lot of useful baby care knowledge. Without this class I would not have been nearly as confident, or felt as supported as I did during the birthing process, and the first two weeks post-partum. I simply cannot recommend them enough - it was exactly what I needed.

Kathleen is so kind and incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I would highly recommend baby prep to anyone wanting support with baby feeding! Kathleen helped with BF and bottle feeding when our daughter refused a bottle. It was a great experience. I left feeling confident, and supported.

An absolute must for expecting, first time parents! We thought we were prepared by listening to podcasts and reading but nothing can compare to this course. It is so well structured from the first contraction to caring for your baby once you get home. Kristen is so knowledgeable, has so much experience, and is such a valuable resource. There are no amount of stars I could give this course that would accurately reflect how much more ready I am now to become a Dad. Thank you Baby Prep!!!!
