Mary Brown's Chicken

Google Maps says the address is the Bayside Travel Centre, but the marker is dropped elsewhere, which is a bit confusing. Be sure to put in Bayside Travel Centre to get to Mary Brown’s. Good fast food chicken. Quick service. For the four pieces chicken, they usually give you two breasts, one thigh, and one wing. I recommend going with the original vs the spicy as you can really taste the coating. Clean dining area and plenty of seating available.

I won't say don't eat here, but there is no reason to eat here. It's the most plain boring chicken I've ever had. The coating was light and very crispy. The chicken was juicy. But there was no flavour to speak of. And I mean that in the way that if you put KFC, Popeye's, any other brand, and Mary Browns in a blindfold test, I can name everyone 100% just by flavour and smell but would guess Mary Browns was made at home by someone scared of any spices, even salt and pepper.Service was Terrible. To all service workers in the world, put your phones down. And if you speak another language, save it for off-work or breaks. It's rude to stand around on your phones and gossiping in front of customers in another language while they wait for their food. No offence to the language, but it's unwelcoming to customers.For atmosphere, it's a gas stop. Nothing to say.Lastly, and this is to all businesses as it's becoming common . Don't ask me my name. I don't want to give my name out. Star bucks started it over a decade ago and Popeye's does it too.

Always been a big fan of Mary Browns for many years, but very disappointed this time at this location, extremely bland flavorless chicken, over cooked over warmed taters, watery slaw.. contacted the owner, they did offer to replace slaw and taters, not the chicken, probably wont be back.

Unfortunately my experience will be the last one I ever receive from your Bayside Mary Brown's. A day ago I placed an order threw the drive threw got home which is over 20min away only to find my chicken and taters were missing, dirty napkins, one fork in the wrapper one not, Pepsi instead of root beer. I called when I realized this in which all blame was placed on me by the same one who handed me my bag. I was told a 2 piece meal would be there the next time I went threw but reminded me to ck the bag before driving off, haha. I went in today to get my meal I was given the chicken and taters but no coleslaw or correct pop. I asked for them but they said I already received this and would have to pay lol. Yup received it yesterday in the heat so to me it was no more good so it was thrown out and the pop I do not like. Not a happy customer at least Macdonalds will give you the entire meal if they get it wrong and never blame the customer. When I was handed the bag yesterday not once did she say the rest of my order would be ready momentarily so why would I check. It is her job to tell me to wait for the rest of my order as should be the procedure. I don't drive that way often but if and when I do again I will never stop in if this is the way staff and management handles a legitimate complaint. Too bad as I do like the food but customer service put a bad taste for ok food in my mouth. A customer lost over a small coleslaw and pop not to mention placing blame on a paying customer.

Mary Brown's is the best chicken and taters out there. Anytime I am somewhere that I can get an order from Mary Brown's I always stop for a meal. The food is always fresh and tasty. The staff is always welcoming and do their best to make it a positive experience. If there is something in your order that you do not like they will try to switch it for something that you do like. I am not a fan of coleslaw so I asked if I could switch it for gravy.... they had no issue doing this for me.

Great chicken, quick service,the seating area and whole building is kept very clean.

We didn't realize our bill was wrong until we got home. We weren't given a receipt so we had no way to prove it. They were foreign workers who don't know what they are doing. Train them more before you put them on the job.

First time having strips and taters on the way back to home !! Yummmm

It's really great, it's a little bit expensive compared to other fast food but it's worth it. The food is almost always fresh and cooked to perfection. Employees are mostly friendly and the hours are pretty good, and for me it's about 20 minutes closer than any other fast food places so it's convenient. The quality is consistent, the place is always clean and doesn't usually take a long time to get your order. My GF and I cut back our eating out to about once a week and this is almost always the destination. The only thing that could be better is if they had fountain pop. Cans and bottles are just OK in my opinion.

Well. Where do I start. Me and my spouse were there last week. I wanted to try the honey bbq chicken. I and my husband had a bit each. We did not like it at all. So I tried to return it. To get something in its place or my money back. To let you know I am a chef in a restaurant for over 20 years. When someone doesn't like something we ask if they would like to try something else or give them their money back. This was not the case at Bayside in Antigonish. It was my fault because I tried the chicken. Which does not taste like Honey bbq. I ask for management and he said he was it. I called to see if I could get it resolved. I am still waiting for a call back from the owner. Which I don't think I will ever get. He kept telling me it was the spice they use and I took a bite. That is NO excuse for not giving me another 2 piece's of regular chicken. So I throw the box in the kitchen area. The story he gave his manager was I didn't give him time enough to explain and return my money. It's all on camera. And I think 10 minutes is plenty of time. We won't be going back Bayside. I think they should be tough the rules and regulations in the restaurant industry. Unset customer means 1 less customer or customer. I will be letting my friends know how I was treated.Very unsatisfied customer
