We went last night for my birthday and it was the snow crab event. The 3 star was for the crab and drink only - the rest was great really a 3.5 star as prices are high and would like to get what you pay for. The drink I ordered was the special black and blue margarita and it was terrible but looked pretty. We ordered the crab cakes, mushrooms neptune and lobster bisque for appies and they were great - no complaints. My son got the special snow crab and sirloin and added the blue cheese crust. My husband and I got the filet minion each with a blue cheese crust I added the snow crab cluster for $20 and he added the shrimp. The steak was phenomenal of course prices are super high on everything so we went in knowing this would be a pricey meal which is fine when the meat is as good as that was. The crab however, was half empty for both my son and I - both clusters were half empty (legs). I didn't mention it to the server as she was so sweet and I am shy to be that way but thought people should be aware. I don't know if there is a way to tell if legs have no sign of meat in them but they didn't. So just expect if you order the snow crabs you will have only half of what you ordered. The waitress we had was awesome. We booked our reservation on line and went right in.

Great atmosphere, our server did a super job taking care of our table of 6. The restaurant was very busy, but it didn't interfere with our experience. Food was amazing and lots of it! I had the rib steak with twice baked potato and veggies. Couldn't eat all 20oz of it! My wife had the 10oz prime rib. The desserts were huge and the specialty coffee selection was very nice. Will be back for sure!

I had the filet mignon and she had pistachio crunch salmon, it was so delicious and service here is such a step up. The Keg never disappoints! A wonderful family outing.

The service was efficient and friendly. The prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes and caesar salad were all delicious. The ambience was very cozy. Even though the restaurant is large, it was arranged so that we felt like we were in a smaller room within the restaurant. We would certainly come here again.

Had the 14 oz Prime Rib, it was so juicy with tons if flavour. The au ju and horseradish really enhanced the flavour. The fries were excellent as well , nicely seasoned and crispy. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. Husband had the chicago style teriyaki sirloin which was also excellent with perfect amount of char.

One of the top on my list to eat in Guelph if you feel like a little more upscale but pub" style. Burgers and steaks are solid. They still tend to overcook the lobster for surf and turf

I love going to the Keg. It was my first time at the Guelph location, but the ambiance was the same everywhere else and the service was amazing. We ordered the iceberg wedge salad, the escargot with bread, the baseball top sirloin and the steak and lobster with the twice baked potato and vegetables. The broccoli was burnt, but the lady brought us more. I wasn't happy about the broccoli because it was still burnt, but I was there for the steak anyway. Everything else we got was juicy, tender and perfectly made. I loved the Billy miner pie! They gave it to us for his birthday, which made it even more special! I would definitely come back again!

I always enjoy The Keg for it's quality of service, food, and it's cleanliness.We both had a filet, medium. It was cooked perfectly. The veggies and side were both excellent as well.The server was pleasant and appropriately attentive.Overall, an excellent meal that made us want to return for another date.

The food was great; steaks prepared properly, great cuts, seafood cooked perfectly.Our server wasn't very good, however. He told us that they were low on prime rib and promptly disappeared for a long time. They were out by the time he reappeared.My drink was left empty for a long time without a single refill offer. By the time my wife got fed up and asked him for one we were finishing up and I told him not to bother.
