You won't get more authentic Aikikai-style Aikido anywhere else. Ben Sensei is the real deal, initially trained in Canada and then living and training in Japan at Hombu Dojo for ten years. Well versed in many approaches within the Aikikai, Ben was also a close student of Seki Shihan's, which is a rapid and fluid style. He's also great at communicating what he knows and gives each student very helpful individual feedback. Training atmosphere is positive, upbeat, and diverse. All feel welcome!

I have done numerous forms of martial art since I was a kid and Sensei Ben is by far the best teacher I have had. I have been at this dojo since the second year it was formed and enjoyed going to all the early practices. The environment is very friendly and everyone is treated as equals and not based on the belt colour.Come join us. You won’t be disappointed.

I have known Sensei Ben for a little over a year now, and had the pleasure and honour of training with him on a few occasions. Although I have not been a regular at his classes, I found him to be very professional, personable, and sincerely passionate about his art and his teaching. Most importantly, he is very flexible and adaptable when it comes to style and application and embracing new students (like myself) working with their own body types, strengths and weaknesses. This truly demonstrates his vast knowledge and experience in the art of Aikido and its applications in real life. Highly recommended as one of the best senseis I have had the pleasure of learning from.
