$17 for one piece of halibut with few fries. Crazy .but War Wonton was excellent

Great little spot for fish and chips. Very clean and staff and so pleasant. We had the haddock and chip special. Very fresh fish with a nice batter…not to much. Fresh made coleslaw and tartar. Would definitely recommend.

had the barney's burger, portion size ok. the burger was alright, but the fries were perfect. decided to try the cheesecake and spot on proper. definitely will be back to try the Chinese cuisine. Great little place to pop in for lunch.

Barnacle Barney's Fish n Chips
Stopped in for lunch and a catch up with family during a visit to Ladysmith. Pressured by the waitress to hurry up and order. She continued to complain about being there since early morning. It was lunchtime. We quickly ate as she gave the vibe that they were closing soon. We cut our visit short because the waitress made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Food was just okay. Clam chowder and fish and chips were not outstanding but not terrible. Shake was really good.Paid our bill and saw that the sign on the door indicated that they were open for several more hours. Waitress pushed by us because she was in a hurry to have a smoke. Would not recommend if you would like to eat without feeling rushed.

I was looking for the authentic island fish and chips (seafood) place. It looked the part. I had the haddock special, it was so good. The waitress was a pretty, young girl I think very new to the job. She made some mistakes on our order but quickly and pleasantly made it right. All in all I really enjoyed it
